If you could go back in time, would you still get the jab?

If you could go back in time, would you still get the Covid jab?

I don’t really care if you’re vaccinated or not, but I’m interested if people would go back and change their decision?

I think the conflicts of interest shouldn't be there, and undermine our faith in what we are being told. The second biggest donor the the WHO, both directly and indirectly last month sold his shares in BioNTech for $500 million more than he bought them for. Since he cashed out he's gone from being as passionate about the efficacy of these vaccines as Minky is to saying that actually they aren't broad, they don't reduce transmission and they only last a very short duration.
But don't worry everyone, he's investing in something else for the next plandemic, it's something we'll have to inhale apparently and I'm sure his WHO will mandate and his media will promote. We'll have a chance to sneer again at our family members and neighbours and call them paranoid when they say "WTF? I'm not taking that".

There have been further studies in Italy about the benefits of Vitamin D which if anyone's interested, I know quite a lot of people including myself that ignored the official tips that supplementing vit D was probably fruitless against this virus.

@itwasntmetho

I posted 3 or 4 studies today about hybrid immunity which indicate that vaccination plus natural infection is giving longer lasting protection. These are very recent studies. One is from last couple of weeks.

“Protection against hospitalization and severe disease remained above 95 per cent for 12 months for individuals with hybrid immunity," says Dr. Lorenzo Subissi, MSc, PhD, WHO-Scientist and senior author on the study. "We know more variants are going to emerge. The study shows to reduce infection waves, vaccinations could be timed for roll-out just prior to expected periods of higher infection spread, such as the winter season."

I am interested in your Vit D article, so thank you for that.

statementstate · 04/02/2023 17:38

I agree with you @MinkyGreen we want the same thing ultimately.

RafaistheKingofClay · 04/02/2023 17:52

I’d that theVit D meta analysis with the weird literature search that seems to exclude the largest and best quality results (namely the ones that show no effect, included studies that didn’t meet it’s criteria and then got the statistical analysis wrong. So even with the studies they chose the correct statistical analysis shows no effect. If it is, I suspect it will be redacted before it makes it out of preprint.

It looks like it is. Caveat lector.

unim · 04/02/2023 18:02

Yes, I would definitely have it (and subsequent boosters) again.

DomesticShortHair · 04/02/2023 18:06

Chris Witty had recently been in the news, urging people who are eligible to get the jabs/booster before it closes, as it’s a very important part of immunity to COVID.

Which is a contradiction, surely? Either it’s very important, in which case why is the program being shut down? Or if it isn’t, why is he urging people to have jabs?

It’s the inconsistencies that really don’t do their cause any favours. When Covid at its peak, there was a concerted effort to shut down viewpoints other than the official line from the government, news and social media. Jacinda herself said that the only truth is the truth coming from the Government, which I would have found ludicrous in any other situation.

All that did was fan the flames for people who said that there must be something to hide. They couldn’t have made it look more suspicious, and sew more doubt, if they’d tried.

Like I said Abuse Incoming.

So you would say something like that in real life? Statementstate.

The total authoritarian who can't hack disagreement.

relentless you ain’t ya. Authoritarian? Me? Ironic.

you have displayed the obedience to what you’ve been spoon fed you’re whole life which is exceedingly typical of someone who presents with authoritarian personality.

in real life I don’t get into arguments with anyone. that’s what I meant

leithreas · 04/02/2023 18:21

I just got my second booster today. Not at all worried about it or regretful.

sunglassesonthetable · 04/02/2023 18:36

Another word salad telling me what I am.

I think it's really clear who is relentless.
A simple word count can show that. It's all on this thread to see.

You couldn't leave it and straight away had a nasty pop at Florissant.

You've said vile things about most of the posters who disagree with you and obviously loads to me about who I am and what I am. ( as if you'd have a clue )

Minky has relentless staying power but don't think I've ever seen them be abusive. ( Even though they've apologised for it. )

Authoritarian is as authoritarian does. You should take a read back.

Are you as abusive as you are on this thread?

Classic key board warrior.

BeethovenNinth · 04/02/2023 19:33

I think the whole “anti vitamin D” made me more cynical. We have known for years that optimal vitamin d levels are crucial for many aspects of health. That this was totally discredited made me question what else was being said. It was one of the (many) reasons I didn’t get the vaccine. I also didn’t like the way the studies were done. I wanted to see weekly blood tests of participants including troponin levels. It just didn’t seem enough for me before we then offered it to most of the western world. As mentioned up thread, the conflicts of interest were clear.

statementstate · 04/02/2023 20:26

Cut it out will you. Where is the abuse? You’re reaching for the stars, claiming to be a victim. Look at how you’ve spoken to ppl on this thread. No one has been as rude as you, Which is why I’ve given you the labels I have, which are hardly abusive. I’ve just described you, from my perception, just as you’ve done to me. I don’t feel abused despite your nasty attempts luckily.

Can you please provide a citation from a reputable source for that claim?

We think we had COVID December 2019. We just slept and felt like bad flu without the aches and pains. Took 3 weeks to feel better.

My other half and I have had it twice since. The second time we were tired but not really unwell and the third time it was a little bit worse than the common cold. I'm asthmatic.

I had one jab, my other half had three. I didn't have the other two that he had as I heard women of my age dropping dead after having the jab. It put me off!

We both suffered COVID in a similar way at a similar time.

I don't regret not getting the 2nd and third jab.

For this claim Despite the majority of the population having had vaccines, the majority of the population have caught covid several times.

The study in the article refers to "being infected" not "having Covid". Also, the article is almost a year old.

No, it gave me palpitations for months- I'd steer clear.

Same. Plus I previously had perfect bp. Not now.

MinkyGreen · 04/02/2023 23:26

@TheLittlePinkFlamingo

Covid is capitalised. Capital C. It’s a proper noun. In fact I think COVID is the preferred spelling. It’s certainly not ‘covid’.

Similarly : Monty Python.

I’d usually pass a couple of errors off, but you’ve made the same mistake throughout your message.

The vaccine has prevented severe cases : hospitalisation and deaths.

The studies I linked show that hybrid immunity is giving us longer lasting protection, and we are less likely to become severely ill.

Your article is also quite out of date.

Covid. Capital C. It’s a proper noun.

Rants, insults, poor grammar. I think if you are prone to making basic mistakes and flying off the handle, people are not really going to be swayed by your incorrect analysis/misinterpretations of Covid studies.

I’d somehow rather listen to the consensus of expert opinion thanks.

Cue next incomprehensible rant…
