I have it and I feel fucking horrific, like the worst flu of my life. I had it last year & didn't feel anywhere near this bad. Anyone else?

Yes. I do. Tested positive one Weds morning. The most unwell I have been for decades by some margin. Thursday and Friday were the worst. Managed to relocate to the couch yesterday and today, and only taking ibuprofen, rather than alternating with paracetamol. But that's about it as far as improving. Still feel rough as f*ck.

Sorry you are feeling pants too.

Onedayatatime22 · 13/11/2022 18:29

*on not one

Hestiadiggle · 13/11/2022 18:48

My BIL who is an ICU doctor told me the variant going round at the moment is mild. Doesn't feel it!!

I probably do but don't have any tests so unsure, I can't smell anything and feel the same/ have the same symptoms as when I had confirmed covid previously. I've had the worst headache of my life. Keeping myself dosed up on pain medication and paracetamol and praying I feel better tomorrow as I've got a busy week at work

Hate to say it but as a HCP's, in our house if it doesn't need hospital it's a mild self limiting virus only DS gets some sympathy.

Last time I had it was four days of feeling horrible that suddenly lifted was like a flu but without a runny nose. First time we tested antibody positive and can't work out when we had it.

Hestiadiggle · 13/11/2022 18:56

Don't think it helps that I can't take ibuprofen so I'm stuck with paracetamol only which doesn't seem to touch the sides

How do you know if/when it needs hospital? I don't have an oximeter

Yes positive but only tested coz I have to for work. Just feels like a mild head cold.

Lorrymum · 13/11/2022 19:08

Had a bit of a temperature and runny nose on Tuesday. I decided I had the start of a cold and sprayed my nose with first defence spray stuff. Carried on for a few days and suddenly dawned on me I could have covid. I was shocked when test was positive. This is my first bout of covid.

Creatingusernamesismygame · 13/11/2022 19:19

Yes I’ve got it. Third time. First 2 times was so mild. No symptoms really. This time I feel like crap. Awful head cold with non stop runny nose.

Hestiadiggle · 13/11/2022 19:21

I have headache, runny nose, horrible dry cough, aching muscles, feel sick and dizzy when I stand. It's hideous.

Yep, tested positive 2 days after moving house. DS has it and so does ExDH, DS not vaccinated because he has an extreme needle phobia (believe me, we tried). He's with ExDH at the moment so I'm here in new house without him 😞

Can't taste or smell anything, I've got a cough, tired and keep getting really hot. It no fever. I had similar side effects from the first jab but they only lasted a day and I'm on something like day 4 now.

Wishing a speedy recovery to all x

Crazymadchickenlady · 13/11/2022 19:31

DH and daughter have it at the moment. So far I’ve managed to avoid it. DH is pretty poorly, daughter Just us a bit of a cough and runny nose.

Hestiadiggle · 13/11/2022 19:32

I'm triple vaxxed but haven't had my booster yet - should have done as clinically vulnerable but just hadn't had the time.

I have it for the first time. Very annoying as I was hoping I was some kind of super immune person Grin

Very sore throat, achy, skin hurts, headachy.

SophiaLarsen · 14/11/2022 07:06

Oh and wrists and hands hurt!

PauliString · 14/11/2022 07:10

Just about through it here. Coughing less, aching less, contemplating work (from home), but oh goodness, the tiredness and jelly legs…

Yes! Knuckles are agony.

Paris14eme · 14/11/2022 10:42

Yes, tested positive last night. Had delta variant last autumn, I’m fully vaccinated but still feel utterly dreadful: sore throat, sore ears, headache, sweating, no appetite, can’t sleep, everything aches.

rockingbird · 14/11/2022 11:01

Just tested positive this morning and feel terrible. Haven't slept for two nights now with shivers and coughing 🥴 not sure o felt this bad the first time round!

Chickydoo · 14/11/2022 11:19

Had it for a week now, have never felt so dreadful in my life.
The exhaustion is crippling.
Am now testing neg & have 2 work meetings today. People expect you to be back to normal because of a neg test. I still feel fluey with no taste or smell.
Have lost 7lbs in 7 days. Not surprised as also have the joyous symptom of a very upset stomach
Hopefully Will feel better tomorrow

Crystaly · 14/11/2022 11:44

Tested positive today. Had it last year it was SEVERE. Been ill since Friday and feeling worse each day that goes on which was the same last time. Currently so lethargic, sore body, hot and cold. Typical I had a day off work to spend time with my kids and I’m bed ridden.

SophiaLarsen · 14/11/2022 14:23

I have a job interview on Friday and they've just said they're happy for it to be online. Right now the thought of doing anything on Friday and having to prepare this week horrifies me.

WordtoYoMumma · 14/11/2022 14:26

I might do, I've been feeling pretty rough for over a week now, sneezy and sinus-y and I ache. But I'm not gonna spend money on Covid tests as it's entirely pointless so who knows. Might just be the winter bug

Toomanysquishmallows · 14/11/2022 15:46

I started getting symptoms on the 30th of October, tested positive on the 3rd of November, I still have a runny nose now , but earlier on it was dreadful, upset stomach , sore throat and insomnia.
