Timeline of feeling rough?

Triple jabbed - prob started feeling unwell on Monday evening positive faint LFT yesterday. Covid in the house DH and eldest DC.

Came on last night too which is a double whammy! Headache is ok I’ve taken paracetamol had a dry cough last night.

Have worked this morning (but a phone based role) stressful job though. Have got into bed now to rest - moved my calls to 4pm

I feel like something is brewing. I was down as CEV (combination of health issues). So I’m a bit worried.

If I don’t feel rough immediately like now is this the worse it’s going to get?

I slept from 1030-130am then from 2am to 8am.

I peaked at feeling worst about day 5/6/7
Lost sense of taste / smell about day 4.

Took a long time to feel right unfortunately

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 13:49

Thanks. Headache is bad paracetamol not touching it

I’m currently day 6 and have been in bed all day again. Am no longer achey/shivery but still exceptionally tired, coughing, sore throat and a headache that just won’t shift. I have no voice either! Am fully jabbed, youngish (38) so surprised I’m so I’ll. hope you start to feel better soon x

Ilikecheeseontoast · 26/01/2022 13:54

Nothing seems to shift the headache unfortunately!

2022success · 26/01/2022 14:02

I had the headache for three nights before testing positive! Kept getting negative LFTs and then did a PCR (despite the fuckwits that run this country not updating the symptoms advice) which came back positive a day after my first positive LFT.

On Day 9 now officially, which is really closer to day 14, and still feel like utter shit.

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 15:59

Another good nap and about to call my 4pm I am totally exhausted

I'm on day 6 and today is the worse I've felt so far. The headache is awful, had it a week now

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 17:22

The headache is the worst part so far I guess Monday was day 0 for counting purposes as that’s when my symptoms began that evening and Tuesday AM I was feeling v tired.

Days 5-6 were worst for me, I'm now on day 8 (only got the positive PCR result yesterday after many negative LFT!). I haven't had the headache at all but still very tired and sore throat still bad. The coughing has reduced a lot.

buckeejit · 26/01/2022 17:47

Gah, was just wondering this. I'm only day 2 as had pcr on Monday but felt fine until yest avo. Just tired. Am a childminder so thankfully clear cut no work for me.

Take extra vitamins -esp D & C, also magnesium, echinacea, zinc. I'm hoping this will help me ride it out

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 17:50

Thank you I think (brain fog and days merging) I took multi vit , vit d, zinc and magenisum today

I’m type 1 diabetic so technically vulnerable I guess

I got a positive last Monday. I felt genuinely fine, just a bit of a sniffle until day 5, when I got a steaming temperature that wouldn’t drop and started feeling quite breathless. Today I’m on day 9 now and it’s the first day I can definitely say I’m improving.
I am absolutely exhausted thoughSad
Horrible horrible virus!

nellytheelephant1980 · 26/01/2022 17:54

Ps. I’m negative on my lateral flows now

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 18:03

How is everyone counting days? I feel a bit shivery today

OP posts:
RenGreen · 26/01/2022 18:03

So would day 1 be when symptoms started?

OP posts:
nellytheelephant1980 · 26/01/2022 19:21

I counted day 0 as my positive test, which is also when I first noticed symptoms.

The shivering and sweating is the worst bit! Xx

buckeejit · 26/01/2022 20:08

Day 0 for me was Monday when I went for PCR. It's a grim feeling waiting for feeling worse, especially when by day 5 I'll probably be bored of tv! 😬

Greenandcabbagelooking · 26/01/2022 20:13

Day 0 - sore throat, out it down to excessive heating at my ILs

Day 1 - same. Negative LFT test. Very tired by end of the day, put it down to a full week of work and a weekend away. Negative

Day 2 - Woke up overnight with fever, body aches, headache, sore throat. Negative LFT.

Day 3 - As Day 2, with added cough. Finally get a positive LFT.

Day 4 - Now headache, cough, sneezy and snotty. Also feel exhausted.

Day 5 - as Day 4. Still testing positive.

I've double vaccinated and boosted.

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 20:58

Worried about feeling worse I too am double vax and boosted

Monday day 0 tearful, tired, sore throat losing voice - negative left
Day 1 feeling v tired had to nap couldn’t stay awake - also came on period so put it down to that faint line on lft
Day 2 full flow period exhausted again another afternoon nap as CEV have gone for PCR and will call GP tomorrow

HairyScaryMonster · 26/01/2022 21:17

Day 0 headache and sore throat, faint positive lft. Worked, felt a little rough, coldy.
Day 1 exhausted and brain fog, gave up working at lunchtime.
Day 2 body aches, full flu symptoms, so so tired. No appetite.

Day 3 felt much better, could potter
Day 4 most symptoms gone but fatigue.
Fatigue lasted for a week before started to feel normal.

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 21:34

Thanks @HairyScaryMonster glad you’re out the other end now

OP posts:
autumnhare · 26/01/2022 22:22

Day 0 - sore throat and headache
Days 1 - 3 symptoms of a bad cold. Headache, blocked nose, sore throat, felt quite dizzy/spaced out (gradually got better as the days went on)
Day 4 - felt better but developed a cough
Day 5 - still coughing but other symptoms pretty much gone
Day 6 (today) - feel back to my normal self but with still a slight blocked nose and a bit more tired than usual

I've been double jabbed and boosted

autumnhare · 26/01/2022 22:23

Really bad luck to get your period at the same time. Hope you're feeling better very soon Thanks
