@Mojoj

Can't believe how many people are happy to be endlessly jabbed with vaccines with no long term safety data! Seriously? What happened to letting your immune system do its job? The Government have done a number on you. Stop bloody panicking and get on with your lives!
You're the one panicking ...about vaccines. Stop panicking and get on with your life like we are
HesterShaw1 · 22/12/2021 10:40
@milly74 I 100% agree with you.

Rather than rely on jabs I've been getting healthy. working 50 hours a week and barely having the energy to cook in the evening with stress headaches and having wine and cereal for tea isn't really a winning combination.
Doing park runs and taking my vitamin B's,C,D,K, Iron, Zinc & copper, Boron and calcium and magnesium (Not all at once, I stagger, alternate days) I've never felt better.
Good for you @AdmiralCain.

Since gyms and leisure centres reopened properly, I've been doing four to six hours sport a week and really feel the benefit too. It's so important, especially in winter.

@Allsorts1

I’ve had mine but I have a lot of empathy for people who have had bad reactions! I think there needs to be analysis on costs (financial too!) of vaccinating everyone moving forward. Seems sensible to scale it back to the vulnerable or to people who would get flu vaccine?
Costs of vaxxing everyone is low compared with the economic costs of lock downs, restrictions, isolations, etc.
Zilla1 · 22/12/2021 10:44

@HesterShaw1 apologies, I wasn't trying to imply you did, I was just trying to proactively mention it before someone posted about primary care making money hand over fist (as patients at our PCN vaccine clinics have told me and colleagues) then went on to talk about never getting an appointment F2F and everything else.

FWIW and I'm not involved in vaccine development and it's been decades since I was involved in research but for COVID, I suspect the whole Corona virus vaccines and/or the vaccines using shell proteins that are in train might stand more chance of persistent immunity.

BoPeeple · 22/12/2021 10:44

@user1497207191

But we’ve all been vaccinated for months and we’re STILL having all those things. So it hasn’t really worked, has it?

walksen · 22/12/2021 10:45

"What happened to letting your immune system do its job?"

What a load of rubbish. There is good reason we treat water, cook food properly get immunised against many illnesses, use protection to guard against sti's instead of saying

"Fuck it - let the immune system do it's job"

But we're not all vaccinated though - that's the problem.

No worries Zilla!

BoPeeple · 22/12/2021 10:47

@user1497207191

No, but the bigger problem is that 44% of the world hasn’t even had one jab. So we can boost all we like, but new variants will keep coming while the world is unvaccinated.

motheroflions · 22/12/2021 10:47

No I won't be having it. I have had two vaccine shots - if that's not enough I am not going down the path of shots every few months.

Something is seriously wrong if this is considered ok.

I imagine the vaccine companies are laughing all the way to the bank. Some very seriously rich people getting made here of the back of a global pandemic

Its not just that. I spoke to a man yesterday who's wife was offered a travel certificate for £12 in GBP ( Asia) if she didn't want to take a PCR test to get on a plane. People are travelling the world with covid. How is it ever going to stop.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 22/12/2021 10:53

I guess I'll be forced into having as many jabs as needed to be able to fly abroad, as I'd like to go on holiday again at some point.

3 is more than enough for me, I can't have any more, I just can't put myself through it. I've already told DH I won't be going abroad so we'll have to holiday in the UK. I'd love to go abroad again but I'm not having continuous vaccines to do it. I've never been anywhere that needs vaccines before and I'm not starting now!

Almostwelsh · 22/12/2021 10:53

Hmm. It's all very well for those who only get a sore arm saying it only takes 5 minutes.

A not insignificant number of people get really bad side effects requiring days in bed to recover. If you are one of those people and you don't feel you are especially vulnerable to the virus or live with someone who is, the cost/benefit isn't clear to you as an individual so plenty of those people won't want to get multiple boosters.

I get this. Many people have had heart issues after - a very small few heart attacks. Whilst I was happy to weigh up the risk to have both vaccines I am not sure about the continual need for them. The risk for problems climbs with each one.
TheVampiresWife · 22/12/2021 11:00

@Aishah231 neither do I, but that's what CW said they were working towards. I imagine he has a better understanding of the topic than I do!

TheVampiresWife · 22/12/2021 11:01

Many people have had heart issues after

'Many people' have not.

It's the 'take a pill' culture we have developed over the years.

Got Type 2 diabetes? Take a pill

Got high cholesterol? Take a pill

Got depression? Take a pill

Got high blood pressure? Take a pill

People are totally reliant on drugs and medicine

Never think they can do anything to improve their health which is free and in their control

Horst · 22/12/2021 11:08

Unless they invent some new super jab I won’t be having a forth. I’ve had three times moderna now I’m not going to keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

There is a study in the USA on why a minority of people suffer from bad side effects. I think it is still ongoing, but the preliminary conclusion was that it is largely people with allergies who get side effects from the vaccine.

What immune system?! Mine is fucked. That's why I get more vaccines...
NMC2022 · 22/12/2021 11:20

@hamstersarse but I can't improve a blood disorder. Or urticaria. Or hashimotos
I take a shit load of medication because I have to, and I have flu vaccines and pneumonia vaccines because of the blood disorder
Some health conditions are completely out of our control and if anyone suggests multivitamins to improve my immune system again, I might throw them at someone

AndARiverBeneathYourFeet · 22/12/2021 11:24

Whatever modern medicine wants to stick in me, I shall have it. Thank god we live in a time where emerging diseases can be combatted.

100problems · 22/12/2021 11:44

I can't really understand why we can't self-administer the jab. That would take the pressure off the NHS.

100problems · 22/12/2021 11:47

Come on poster, exactly how "many". Where's your source that isn't TikTok?

100problems · 22/12/2021 11:49

@hamstersarse (you really are)

I'm all ears how you'd treat my depression. Do share your knowledge, which I assume follows many years medical training and research.
