Govt plans re unvaccinated feels like a change is afoot

Anyone noticed the govt and news sources seem to be covering more and more stories regarding the unvaccinated (by choice)
I feel they might be ramping up support for restrictions for unvaccinated people.
It's feel very much like propaganda and warm up the masses.
Anyone agree or noticed this in the last 3/4 days?

I say do it. The sooner you lot see that it won’t make a difference the sooner we can all move on.

I’d quite enjoy being segregated from the nutcases at the moment.

Starcup · 21/12/2021 15:58

Could you please tell me what was all this freedom you had for last 6 months and suddenly don't have

They poster sat yet because we’re all waiting in anticipation of what freedoms we will lose…

KurtWildesChristmasNamechange · 21/12/2021 15:58

If people unvaccinated by choice want to maintain that stance they need to be restricted from optional activities if that's what is required to prevent lockdown being a continuing threat for everyone.

Does that include stopping them from going to work too? Good luck watching the country literally grind to a halt.

Starcup · 21/12/2021 15:58

can’t

CoastalWave · 21/12/2021 15:59

I find it weird that women who insist on the right to abort babies ( my body my choice) are SO against other people maintaining the right NOT to inject something into their body.

If your triple jabbed jab isn't protecting you, how on earth is my jab going to magically do the job for you?!

Once the principle of bodily autonomy is gone, anything is possible.

Aborting a baby doesn’t affect the rest of society…

If the majority of people in ICU are unvaccinated, it tells me their choices are blocking beds that could be used to help others.

Could you post the stats on this? What majority? Could be anything from 50.1%

Really, we're still explaining this?

It's not about it stopping you getting ill, it's about you and others like you not getting so ill you fill all the hospital beds.

Alarmset · 21/12/2021 16:08

Sorry, quoted the wrong post, but you het the gist Grin

So none is the answer then

What sort of 'freedoms' are the unvaccinated currently denied? Based on statistical probabilities?
Especially those who are actually not ill with covid???

I find it weird that someone thinks their obvious bias isn’t obvious when they make bad arguments propagated by American pro-life extreme right groups.

I don’t think you’re not intelligent to understand the differences between abortion and vaccines despite your attempt to make people think otherwise.

On a personal level, it’s not quite the ‘zinger’ point you clearly think it is and I’d quietly stop parroting it if I were you.

They haven’t released the data yet and that’s part of the problem but it’s been reported that’s the major are unvaccinated.

Even if it is a marginal majority, that’s significantly more, considering more than 85% of the population are vaccinated.

If we’re at the stage where it is less virulent but more transmissible with symptoms akin to the common cold, unless one is hard of thinking then logically it is time to be pleased and crack on with our normal way of life, where if you’re ill you stay at home -and if you’re usually typically vulnerable to colds/flu then take the normal measures necessary for your own circumstances. It’s not rocket science. All this twisting in knots to make it appear terrifying is just ridiculous and anyone with half a brain can see it by this stage.

Also, aren't a quite high proportion of the unvaccinated - by no means all - from ethnic minorities?

Will people be happy to go along with a policy which will disproportionately affect minority groups?

Errrrm so if everyone gets vaccinated then we won’t be in the mess in the first place… certainly not as bad.

So where did you get your information that the majority in ICU are unvaccinated then? Is that not disinformation?

Yes, that was my point Smile

A quick google search will point you in the direction.

Number of people in hospital with Covid is not the same thing as number in hospital for Covid.

How are vaccine passports going to prevent lockdown? Austria, Germany, Ireland…
