I think this test is positive, am I seeing things?

DH's test. He says it's negative but I'm certain I can see a very feint line. He's not against getting a PCR at all, he's had one before so he doesn't appear to be being a dick about it, he just can't seem to see a line!

Very very faint, do another test.

How long has it been sat there? The full half hour?

It's one of the new up your nose 15 minute tests so it's been there 20 mins when I took the photo.

I see a line. Is it the 'new' nose only test? The wait time has been reduced from 30 to 15 min on those, so did it come up in the 15 minutes? If so get a PCR.

I thought it was going to be one. Can never see the lines on those either.

I can see a line. My daughter had a positive pcr the other day and I done a lateral flow on her (just to see if they do actually work as keep being told they are unreliable) while doing my own and hers came up a very faint line just like that.

I see a faint line with colour, I think any line is a line and I would in your case get a PCR test. Good luck Op

Blimey I was all ready to say don't be ridiculous of course there's no line I don't know what others are seeing.

Wow - there must be lot of people walking round with covid and not knowing it because if I did a test and got that result, I would take it as negative and go about my business as usual.

Thank you! I did actually go to Specsavers last month so my eyes are fine too.

It's more like the shadow of a line... If you look directly at it it'll disappear like one of those optical illusions! Look at the control line instead and maybe you'll see a darker strip forming underneath?

I remember as a child there were those books of patterns that if you stared long enough you could see a picture. I could never see those either.

What's interesting though is the pregnancy test ones seem to get a standard response of "Yes, congratulations" when I can't see a line at all. Covid ones seem to get more "no, I can't see a line" when I can!

He's going for a PCR, I think he's stared at it long enough he can either see a line or convinced himself he can. I can definitely see one!

I’m a POAS veteran and I do the whole shine a torch light behind it thing to be sure.

I always feel really mean to go onto one of those threads after 10 'Congratulations!' posts and say I can't see a line. people saying 'my line like that is now sitting next to me and is 4' etc...

If you’ve only ever preg tested after a missed period with a clear blue digital, it’s a different world and a whole other skill to peering at a 9dpo Internet cheapie.

Never yet had a positive lateral flow but I think many will be missed by people expecting the line to resemble the control, which it well might but certainly doesn’t have to.

Yep, I think that's the problem, sometimes the line is so feint people won't see it and carry on their merry way! I'll post back when he gets the result, he was able to book one almost immediately and the centre is only ten mins away so we should def get the result back tomorrow I would think.
