School - I'm a TA and my 1:1 coughed on me: a slimy, sticky, yucky cough. Bless her she was mortified.

DH is a secondary teacher, the week we caught it they had dozens of confirmed cases including half his form group. So definitely from school.

Work, or through a contact that caught it at work.

My brother's girlfriends second cousin's aunt's daughter had covid, no idea where she got it from is my equally random response

Us Christmas Day - My husband’s work - a school.
Friends who have it now - Boardmasters festival last weekend. DD is aware of many others who have brought it home from there too.
Friends who had it last week - their eldest DD clubbing.

DC caught it at school and gave it to DH at home.

Work - hospital.

Whilst out shopping with my daughter in either primark or new look!

Work I suspect mainly. The common factor being frontline work so all those I know either caught it at a hospital, school or childcare setting.
It annoys me that my retired conspiracy theorist relative is going on about all the vaccinated catching it but she does what she likes and hasn’t.
Well maybe it is because the vaccinated ones have greater exposure as they work.

School mostly and also am outdoor BBQ had it spreading through 4 families recently.Work or gym for someone else and teens clubbing for another couple . Teens at a party for another few.

I really cant be sure but I was I was in a major Kent hospital during the hight of the Kent variant but didnt test positive for almost two weeks after.

My son almost definitely caught covid on our UK break at a Haven resort two weeks ago.

Oddly no one else in the family caught it as well either time. With me I self isolated in my room but this time with ds no one has even tried to keep any kind of distance. He was only fleetingly ill for two hours on one day so its amazing we even found out really.

Weirdly we must have caught it from someone either asymptomatic or a short random passing stranger but dont transmit in our own tiny overcrowded house. Dd had all the symptoms but multiple negative lateral flow and PCR. It's all a bit random

@Houseplantmad I have a friend who works for test and trace.. they have spoken to several people this week who all attended that festival! it was quite the covid party it seems!!

Did they go around licking people known to have covid or something or where they just trying to live a life and got unlucky

Scouts - Leader caught from a child (group of children from the same school which was closed later that week due to high numbers of staff and children with Covid)
Care home - resident (family member sadly died)

I think perhaps from a cab driver who was unmasked and coughing, but who knows really
