Yes - plus post viral symptoms very common - people perhaps more aware now.

Furries · 19/05/2021 00:22

@TruelyStruttingHotpants - I see Pom handed over her attire for you!

I’ve been trying to avoid the other threads. Did you go and strut your stuff over there with the info?

If anyone is bored, there’s an AIBU re vaccine going on at the moment which is like entering the Twilight Zone 😂

lazymum99 · 19/05/2021 09:26

Just had a look at that thread. Very strange thoughts by OP.
But I have picked up a good answer for those rattling on about side effects. The biggest and most common side effect of the vaccine is to protect you against covid! I like that one.

Looked at the vaccination data for my LA and...
75% of adults have had at least one jab while 50% had had both.

We do have a somewhat older than average population (mostly concentrated in coastal villages), but I'm still impressed by those numbers.

Hello can I ask a quick question about info given to others with second dose. Just had my second of AZ - very happy to get it - but was very surprised that no mention at all/or any info on the - very rare! - VITT and what to look out for.

Just wondered if others received any info at all? My ex went to a different centre and got loads!

Did they not give you a leaflet and point out the list on it of side effects etc. That is what they do at are local hub.

I got this and also two other vaccination leaflets.

@TruelyStruttingHotpants - no nothing nor was anything mentioned to me. I asked and they looked at me blankly and said they only had Pfizer info. Big vacc centre in London as well! I wondered if it was because I was second dose but my first was prior to the info.

Ilovecrumpets · 19/05/2021 16:49

I sort of feel like I should mention it to someone but not sure who!

Send an email to the CCG, they have ultimate responsibility for the vaccine centre processes.

Thanks @Mrex

Just back from jab 2! Got questioned/processed by 4 different people before seeing the jabbing medic! Lots of stuff about side effects here! Happy to be done! Amazed that all my household are now jabbed at least once.

I won't tell you about how my mask pinged off when I dropped my glasses and I sat in the doctor's chair by mistake.

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 19/05/2021 17:50

70% of adults have now had their first dose 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳❤

For the last 5 days reported deaths have been down to single figures 🙏

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 20/05/2021 20:48

I don't think the first one is working properly

PinkSparklyIncorrigibleDunce · 20/05/2021 20:51

I'm still struggling to decide whether to bring my second vaccine forward or wait the full 11-12 weeks. It doesn't help I've got a needle phobia and part of me wants to get it over and done with and the part wants to put it off! It makes a rational decision really difficult!

TruelyStruttingHotpants · 20/05/2021 21:06

Swings and roundabouts with moving it forwards. Plenty of research saying it works great earlier and plenty saying more effective later. To my so long as you have it after 8 weeks all is good.

If you are going to be more anxious waiting longer then just get it done at 8 weeks. No point torturing yourself about it for more time.

Plus if Whitty is saying 8 weeks knowing that longer could be better. I am thinking he is aware of stuff we aren't. So think we should listen.

Thanks @TruelyStruttingHotpants (I love the new name BTW), that's what I needed to hear. I'm booked in for just over 3 weeks time and I'm already stressing about it. I actually felt ill when DH had his vaccines so I'm stressing 4 times over! Add to that a trip to the dentist next week and I'm a nervous wreck!

You're right about Chris Whitty, he must be saying this for a reason.

Thanks again. I was going to start a thread about it but was too scared of being torn apart so thought I'd ask here!
