Carrying on from the old thread:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/4104964-Ocado-tips-tricks-subs-M-S-shortbread-giveaways-and-defectors

Give a vague area of where you live, or first part of postcode, and how much you pay for your smart pass. They seem to charge how much they think we will pay.

London, SE23 : £9.99 for an anytime pass. Customer for 10+ years.

Got my £4.95 refund for my 99 bags. If I have to fold another Ocado bag it will be too soon.

GiantKitten · 10/03/2021 22:33

I had been charged for 46 bags since last refund, so that’s what I said I was returning, but I was refunded for 50!
Such riches!
(I had also included other random plastic like frozen/fresh veg bags & bread bags, but I don’t think that made any difference. He took some wine carriers too)
@Timbucktime do you fold yours separately or in piles? I flatten mine out in piles of a dozen or so, fold the pile into 4 lengthwise, then fold the strip 3 (?) times until it’s a square. Takes very little time, and almost no space in the bottom of the bag Smile

Mumdiva99 · 10/03/2021 22:55

Buckinghamshire 4.99 per month - many years customer.

Kicking myself because I booked a tip visit this week and took all my bags as they were fulling up the garage - the day before I got the message they were taking them back. (We have about 15/20 bags on a big shop.....so there were lots!!!)

CrunchyCarrot · 10/03/2021 22:57

Worcestershire - £9.99 a month! Been a customer for years.

Standrewsschool · 11/03/2021 08:33

Sorry, what are these refunds for bags? Think I’ve missed something.

BobsDouble · 11/03/2021 09:40

There was an email a few days ago saying that they’d start taking bags back again as of Monday just gone

BobsDouble · 11/03/2021 09:41

Only 62 here. Felt like more.

GiantKitten · 11/03/2021 09:42

@Standrewsschool

Sorry, what are these refunds for bags? Think I’ve missed something.
Bags are compulsory & they charge 5p for each one (often for more than you actually get) but then refund when you return them.
Timbucktime · 11/03/2021 10:06

GiantKitten I samosasd the damn things.

Fuss · 11/03/2021 12:35

Handed back 100 and probably have a 100 more.

Veg oil out of stock and my ice cream, though charged for had gone AWOL. Needed to nip out later anyway so will replace then.

Did notice though, when on the website requesting a refund there was also an option to request a refund on bags so those of you charged for more than used should do that.

Furball · 11/03/2021 18:26

I didn't get oil last week and have ordered it again for this week so my fingers are crossed.

I didn't even think to check how many bags I have been charged for - so will take a look to make sure I definitely get it all back.

Words · 11/03/2021 18:42

I paid £60 last May for an annual mid week smart pass.
I can barely get any delivery slots. Been with them about five years.
If I don't renew, will the slots become even fewer?
I've been had, haven't I. They used to be so reliable.
I do lIke Waitrose, but again slots like hen's teeth.
West Yorkshire.

Aurorie11 · 11/03/2021 19:27

So only two missing items, pack of croissant and the driver had no clear bags to put old carrier bags in!!! My mountain of carrier bags is growing not decreasing

Fuss · 11/03/2021 20:16

Sigh.

Still not had the refund for the 100 bags from 11am. I'm going to have to chase that as well now aren't I?
Why is nothing simple with this company anymore?

Quarantino · 11/03/2021 22:49

@Furball

I had to go through all my old 'receipts' (attached to email) and they're not even separated out everywhere, they're just in with the 'items with no use-by date'. I made a spreadsheet, ffs! Just need to fold them all now.

I pay £3.99 a month for anytime and have been a customer for donkey's years. I tend to only get deliveries every 2 weeks at the moment though, but it's useful to know I can get weekly if I want.

Furball · 12/03/2021 14:13

@Quarantino - yes I have done the same with checking back though I haven't got as far as a spreadsheet........yet!

I also picked up a trick here when someone upthread said they fold their bags in layers of 10 - saves a lot of faff.

I got oil too, so hopefully the PP who mentioned it wont be short this week either

Fuss · 12/03/2021 14:26

As suspected I had to email for my bag refund. The excuse was:

"It's been a while since we have been able to collect them so it may be that our driver forgot"

StanfordPines · 12/03/2021 15:03

I’ve got Covid so I can’t hand my bags back!
I’ve got a delivery coming today too so I called to ask them to leave it on the doorstep.

BobsDouble · 12/03/2021 15:42

My refund for bags came straight away, along with the refund for all the substitutions I didn’t want.

BobsDouble · 12/03/2021 15:43

I’ve been trying to buy olive oil for weeks with no success.

Ceara · 12/03/2021 15:49

Just noticed they haven't processed my refund for all the bags I returned on Tuesday evening. Sigh.
And "no suitable alternatives" for the 2 loaves of bread on my mum's order today, placed 4 weeks ago. Really - no bread of any sort, anywhere in the warehouse?
On the positive side, I can book slots any day for 4 weeks ahead. That is a sight I haven't seen since this time a year ago :-)

Madcats · 12/03/2021 19:14

I had to make do with a Waitrose 'Click and Collect' this week (no delivery slots available from them or Morrisons) and it didn't go as planned.

When we arrived home we discovered we were missing about £25 of our order and had a load of bags that were not ours. Annoyingly, but luckily, I live nearby so the service desk went round the store to get the missing items while I walked back and gave me a bunch of flowers. I couldn't return the "wrong" food (which is about 50 quid's worth).

You can't fault their customer service.

PowerslidePanda · 12/03/2021 22:06

How far ahead of your Smart Pass expiry did you find out what renewal price they were going to charge? Mine is less than 2 weeks away from expiry and I haven't had an email yet.

BobsDouble · 13/03/2021 08:04

My renewal email came about 6 weeks ahead of expiry.
