Give a vague area of where you live, or first part of postcode, and how much you pay for your smart pass. They seem to charge how much they think we will pay.

London, SE23 : £9.99 for an anytime pass. Customer for 10+ years.

I don't think it's that because even in peak lockdown it was easy to get a slot 4 weeks away on the day they were released (where I am anyway)

No, I can get a delivery pretty much any day and any time from Tuesday. I know there’s been a fire at an Ocado warehouse near Kent I think so I don’t know if that can affect things?

Slots have disappeared again.

Lots of items subbed or out of stock when my delivery arrived.

Had some cheerful drivers lately. So that’s a positive.

Waitrose substitute very generously, they give you better items at a bargain rate.

And they give you a paper Grin

And they are lovely to talk to, if there's a problem

On the other hand there have been a number of computer system glitches, so I'm not giving up the Ocado account.

Oh dear, I have got £10 off £60 and free delivery and it all sounds a bit rubbish, I usually use Tesco weekly delivery and Waitrose delivery if I can't be bothered to go to store and haven't used Ocado for years, hence the offer probably.

I can’t get a slot until 8th August! Have asked for a refund of this month’s smart pass… so frustrating.

Incident at warehouse - order cancelled

I can only see a week ahead for slots and they are only available next Sunday. I am sure I could see 3 weeks ahead a few weeks ago. Have they reintroduced limits?

There has been a fire at the Erith warehouse. It was not only used a a fulfilment centre, but also a distribution depot, so for example, Anchor Butter and Cravendale could deliver all Ocado stock there, who in turn send it to different depots. Products used for an example, but it could be loads of lines involved. That particular depot sends out 250,000 deliveries a week and has loads of deliveries in per week, so yes, it could affect people in Kent, Sussex,Somerset and beyond. My order was cancelled and I got a £20 voucher that I was very happy with.

My order for this week and then the 31st has been cancelled - £20 voucher for each. Weirdly I could rebook them for exactly the same time and date 🤯

The one I have going to our holiday house in the middle of those two hasn't been cancelled so hopefully that will stay fine.

My orders were cancelled this week and next, too. I've rebooked next week but not sure how reliable it will be as their email mentioned there may be more missing items and subs? Used Amazon Fresh this week and actually quite liked the opportunity to get different things.

My order was cancelled and I got a £20 voucher that I was very happy with.

It was a big order too for DS and his flatmates when they had COVID yet again, cancelled on the day of the fire. They did offer "priority rebooking" but there was nothing for 3 days so they ended up paying inflated deliveroo prices for emergency supplies. Now they are self isolating again Hmm and there are no available slots.

Another order for me today with all the fruit bruised, squashed and torn. My lovely British strawberries were substituted with Ocado watery, tasteless ones that managed to have under ripe (still white), over ripe (mushy), mouldy and squashed strawberries all in the same punnet.

Is anyone else regularly being overcharged for bags? I'd never bothered counting before but one week I just happened to notice the receipt said there were 13 bags when there were only half that, so an obvious difference. Now I've started checking and more often than not I have been charged for 2 or 3 extra bags.

If the receipt says 13 bags but there are only 8, then the following week I hand back 8 bags and tell them 13 - they never seem to count them!

Just had interesting chat with Ocado driver. Might have solved the bag over charging thing.

He said the the bags are all lined up in the crate when they go along the conveyer belt and items dropped in. Sometimes, even often maybe, bags don't end up with anything in them? I guess because customer didn't but any goods ear marked for that bag by the robot system. Crates are loaded (empty bags and all) in the van and charges applied based on bags in van.

Obviously driver doesn't hand over empty bags to you, therefore you end up charged for
More bags an you actually receive (although it is technically the number they sent out on the van).

Slots are very thin on the ground where I am, I mean VERY thin! Was a bit of a shock to be honest, having been back to normal for some months. I asked my last delivery guy and he didn't really know, apart from maybe it's because more people are going on holiday at the moment. I guess that makes sense.

Naughty Ocado removed Christmas crackers from my Christmas shop trolley. Didn't tell me, not listed as missing item, no sub, just vanished and didn't turn up. It was the nutcracker line of crackers so if anyone else ordered those in the coming days you might want to have a look at your trolley and check if they've been removed so you can put an alternative in!
