I keep seeing people saying they are happy to wait as long as it takes. Are there really people on here who would live like this for two, five, ten years?

@YouDoNotHaveTheAuthority

No.

They're asking people to sacrifice a lot.

As a Single women in my 30s, I'm not prepare to let my fertile years disappear in lockdowns. I and friends in similar circumstances are prepared to wait until the summer.

Basically this

I have a 5 year plan and marriage babies appear in that plan . And I haven't even met the poor unsuspecting fella yet

Nope - from April onwards I will be ignoring any rules that I can get away with (ie see people socially who are happy to do so, drive long distance to visit family etc). I will remian socially distanced when I see people, will wear a mask in shops etc but most elderly and vulnerable should be vaccinated by then so time to get on with it. And I know about "protect the NHS" etc however it seems to me that apart from dealing with Covid patients the NHS is letting down lots of cancer patients, regular testing etc so I am not clear what I am protecting now.

I really hate the 'as long as it takes' comments. As long as it takes until what? Covid eradicated? Not going to happen. Until we have vaccinated the vulnerable? Apparently not good enough either. So until what, exactly? (Have asked this before and never get an answer. Would genuinely love to know though).
