I have just seen a tweet with a video of a man calling him a liar, its really pissed me off, even his voice is irritating and to attack a man that has worked so hard over the last 2 years.

TBH, and it’s obviously slightly off topic, but I don’t care who the target of the video is, where he was or what he was doing. This kind of shit is the absolute downside of SM - and, in various forms, happens to lots of people every day.

Bully-types filming “funny” posts. Not a single thought for who they film and post on line. “Luckily” I think Whitty will be able to brush it off, but so many people can’t.

If I saw Whitty in the street, l'd stop and ask if he knew my dad, which is possible given their work histories and doctors and their endless networking.

Whether he did or didn't, I'd then say "don't forget, first do no harm". But I'd prefer to invoke the name of my father while doing so.

Chris Whitty has still been working shifts continuing to treat patients in hospital whilst doing his civil service role and spent Christmas Day on the wards in UCLH saving peoples lives. Why would anyone verbally abuse a doctor? Absolutely disgusting.
