Can someone sum up the new rules?

I missed the first part!

I know schools have closed until Feb half term.

Nursery open

Can you meet anyone for walks?

Takeaways open?

Borders closed? (Probably not)

Could someone sum it up for me?

Do we think reception is classed as early years? It’s part of the EYFS Confused

PurpleHoodie · 04/01/2021 20:32

RedBrick Yes.

BamboozledandBefuddled · 04/01/2021 20:32

@Redbrickwall Yes, construction can continue

ragged · 04/01/2021 20:33

Link.
Damn, what Wherediditgo posted is what I just found (I'm disappointed about the once a day exercise thing).

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 04/01/2021 20:33

I'm confused

Is it just ECV not going to work or CV too?

annevonkleve · 04/01/2021 20:33

Here: www.gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home I know people have done screenshots but its easier to go to the actual website

DoctorTwo · 04/01/2021 20:34

If you break one of the new rules RAF Luton will send one of their Eurovision Typhoons to take you out. Photographed for posterity by their Canberra.

Smile3 · 04/01/2021 20:34

@Redbrickwall I need to know this too!

Goatscheesewithhoney · 04/01/2021 20:34

@Redbrickwall - it flashed up on the banner at bottom of screen on BBC news, saying construction will stay open

What about click and collect at retail?

I wondered this as local shops are already talking about click and collect. Which I can understand because they'll probably go under if they don't, but is it allowed?

CoronaIsWatching · 04/01/2021 20:34

Can you move home?

laughoutquiet · 04/01/2021 20:35

From what I understand from the document, click and collect still allowed

ragged · 04/01/2021 20:36

Moving home is allowed, look here.

Not sure if dentists will be open, or what proof I'll need for voluntary work.

Bambam2019 · 04/01/2021 20:38

You must not leave the house unless essential....or taking your child to nursery it seems? Ridiculous

SingleHandSue · 04/01/2021 20:38

Do the restrictions kick in at midnight tonight or midnight Tuesday?

I can’t find anything about it.

I was wondering this but couldn't find any confirmation either way

Can hardly home school a reception age child so takes the piss really

BlackeyedSusan · 04/01/2021 20:40

Thank you for updating.

theliverpoolone · 04/01/2021 20:40

@SingleHandSue they kick in legally from midnight Tuesday but people are asked to put them in practice from tonight.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 04/01/2021 20:41

@louise4745

What do you mean by a legal bubble? My mums my carer but we don't have a legal document to prove it?
It just means a bubble that is actually allowed, not one that you've made up. So for eg I'm in a bubble with my Mum. I'm a single parent so it's allowed. My brother and his wife are in a 'bubble' with his in laws. But none of them qualify for a bubble, so its not a legal one.

I’m confused. On the info it says you can meet with one other person for walks etc but further down it states you can not meet up with anyone outside of your household?

(and wonder how on earth the teachers have suddenly found the time to fit in all this extra paid tuition)

Any chance people can stop having a pop at teachers? The tutor we had for DS1 didn't work in a school at all.
