Found a chart showing data on age-related hospital admissions in Twitter.
The 0-17 rise is ... big.
As everyone keeps saying, this could be down to a massive rise in transmission (ie. same percentage young people getting ill but huge increase in base of infections) or it might point to some sort of change in risk of illness for younger people.
No-one knows yet.
Either way, those figures are climbing.
(Cards on table, I can't see how we can avoid school closures across the U.K. when I look at that chart. 🤷♀️)
