If your family are unable to visit him, the staff will make sure he is not alone and will be with him holding his hand. I know it’s not ideal, but I hope it gives some comfort if no one is able to visit.

I have Covid so I can't go and see him. He is sedated so can't talk to him.

I am so sorry @TotallyX. Please take care of yourself as well and phone in if you'd like to speak to him. Surely s nurse could take a phone to him for a final chat.

I’m so sorry. My father was on a syringe driver when he died. I was with him and is was so very peaceful. Whilst this doesn’t help you now, I hope that in the future you can take some comfort from the fact he wasn’t struggling.
