Pre Christmas test results

Anyone tested v recently? Wondered how long ppl are waiting for results? I'm guessing lots of ppl testing ahead of Christmas. Tested this afternoon, they've said within 72 hours...

72 hours now and still waiting 🤦🏻‍♀️

So frustrating... we are at 67 hours now and nothing.
Really hoping everyone gets their results in time for any plans x

I’m still waiting from a test 8am Sunday morning at drive through, in Kent so tier 4. 4 days now

Finally got them after a 9am test on Monday so a grand total of 80 hours..

Can anyone tell me if the home tests come via royal mail or courier? Husband and I have both got symptoms today and ordered home tests and trying to work out when they will be delivered? If it's via royal mail then I'm thinking not til Tues?

Tested Monday and posted...result this morning... negative! 😅

Still waiting too, all at work were done in the morning then not collected till 2pm.

Not sure when to count from. I posted it Monday at 4pm. So from then about 76 hours. But of course not sure when it arrived. Maybe it's lost.......

@bigarse1 (I feel rude calling you that) my recent one came by royal mail. But I had one back in the summer come from Amazon. Think they're using a mix of both currently.

Home test delivered Tuesday, posted back in that afternoon's post and email saying received on the Wednesday morning. Got my (negative) result this evening - I was invited to randomly test as part of the Zoe study and am in a tier 4 area so don't know if that made a difference.

Community tests seem to be taking an inordinately long time.

I am a nurse and we are getting results back as quick as 12 hours if we are lucky. Sent one sample this morning at 10am and the result was back by 6:30pm.

It must be frustrating to wait so long💐

My email arrived at 1am this morning!

Got my son tested 3pm Tuesday (walk in centre). No result yet

That's interesting @Goatsdorhone. Mine was delivered Monday 2.30pm. Sent back by 4pm. Also in a Tier 4 area (SE London) and also asked to test by the Zoe app.

Just got my results. Unreadable. Need to order another test. (Facepalm)

Has anyone else who posted theirs tracked it on the Royal Mail website? Mine apparently reached the main sorting centre in London a day after I posted it, but it's down as delivered 90 minutes after that. I thought the returns label mentioned Glasgow - did it reach there or not?

T4 school requested family test, posted and arrived Friday, one result Sunday 10am, the other 2 Tuesday at 2pm. Ours delivered by Amazon courier, totally incongito & I nearly hid it for Xmas.

I presume the labs will still be open on Christmas Day? My friend went to a test centre early on Tuesday and still no result.
She's hoping to hear before lunchtime tomorrow because of family plans.

Our results cane back together , by email at 5am. Text followed a couple of hours later.

Finally had results back!

DS tested on Sunday morning (20th), results came back yesterday evening (24th).

DH (very cynical) was wondering whether results are taking longer in Tier 4 areas because the government would prefer people to isolate regardless... interesting conspiracy theory thought...
