Anyone tested v recently? Wondered how long ppl are waiting for results? I'm guessing lots of ppl testing ahead of Christmas. Tested this afternoon, they've said within 72 hours...

30 hours and still waiting

Reindeermayhem · 23/12/2020 09:11

92 hours now - it is lost, isn’t it Sad

No point going again as the ten days will be up before I get another test result back assuming it is up to 72 hours. Rang up. Apparently they will advise on day 6 or 7 of no results. Well as had test on day 3 of symptoms ....!

That's ridiculous, how frustrating' still waiting here. Really hope we hear today, 44 hours since testing now

I got my DD's (negative) result at midnight last night. She had the test on Sunday lunchtime - so we waited 83 hours to hear.

Fingers crossed the rest of you get your result really soon.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/12/2020 10:27

I'm off to a drive thru centre in 5 mins. No plans for Christmas but hope it doesn't take ages and ages for the result. Started a new cough last night which sounds odd

Mine came in at 3am this morning. So 60 odd hours

Baullocks · 23/12/2020 13:28

yup keep all testing when yo don’t have symptoms!! I can’t get hold of a test here because they’ve run out, I NEED one because I have underlying conditions and both my kids tested positive last week yet half the fucking country is testing for no reason. Stop being so bloody selfish it’s a fucking joke!!!!!!

Baullocks · 23/12/2020 13:30

That’s clearly directed at those testing for no reason so don’t bother jumping in for a tantrum if you’ve got symptoms!!!

LadyPenelope68 · 23/12/2020 13:38

@Porcupineinwaiting
Tested Monday morning and just got test results back half an hour ago (negative as expected).
So why did you test then if you were expecting negative??

sweetchristmastime · 23/12/2020 13:49

Test yesterday morning tier 4. No result yet

Mrsmch123 · 23/12/2020 13:51

Tested yesterday at 10am results last night by 10pm. Our results were super quick and unfortunately positive! This was Glasgow

Porcupineintherough · 23/12/2020 16:24

@LadyPenelope68 I tested because I had a persistent cough with what feels like a head cold. And actually that's a typo. I expected a negative, I got a positive.

LadyPenelope68 · 23/12/2020 16:30

@Porcupineintherough
Hope your symptoms don’t get too bad, take care!

sweetchristmastime · 23/12/2020 18:46

Just got mine 34 hours

FireUnderpants · 23/12/2020 18:54

We're on hour 50 and waiting.

Reindeermayhem · 23/12/2020 18:56

It came back on 96 hours, phew! Negative.
Have a Cough, nothing else.

Reindeermayhem · 23/12/2020 18:58

Sorry - am in Nottinghamshire.

Still have a cough, but no other symptoms. Obviously have been nowhere for 96 hours anyway and are not seeing family anyway due to where they are.

user1471530109 · 23/12/2020 19:04

Anyone had a test in the south Midlands area? We tested yesterday and desperate to know if my symptoms are covid or not. The kids are driving me mad as they really want to go to their dad's Sad.

Eggsley · 23/12/2020 19:40

DS2 had a test yesterday in Northants, tested at 9.30am, result just after 2pm today (negative).

sanitygirl · 23/12/2020 19:42

Walk in test on Tuesday morning and got the results in under 24 hours early this morning - SE London

fruitypancake · 23/12/2020 21:22

My DS was tested on Sunday morning, still haven't had a result. Surrey Tier 2, but the test centre was Tier 4. According to 119 the earliest I can chase for results is 5 whole days after the test (i.e. Friday, Christmas morning). It was advised that results would take approx. 48 hours, but I guess that's changed due to demand...

mrsed1987 · 23/12/2020 22:01

We tested on Thursday at 9.30am as my toddler had symptoms my result was back 6pm on Friday, but my son and husbands didn't come back till 6am Saturday. Still pretty good going though I was expecting a longer wait (all negative)
