Today was due to be the day for 'the big Christmas shop'

Christmas delivery all fine, on time, no hassle, booked our slot in November and amended order a couple of days before delivery to get what we wanted, now set until new year what with larder, arse to going to supermarket, I can’t physically go anyway

I was just in marks and it was really quiet and very well stocked.

No turkey delivery at Lidl this morning and none tomorrow. OH gone hunting
Came back from Morrisons with a turkey to feed 13, there are seven of us all the smaller turkeys gone, well the dogs will be happy ditto the cat.

I've got my Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon, had a few changes and all for larger sizes than I ordered so I've got a horrible feeling I'm going to be throwing some stuff away in a few days or we eat like pigs? Hard decision. I wish I had a bigger freezer. I think I've got a turkey breast to feed 12 to 15 and there's just the two of us, enough brandy butter to supply a small army, freezer stuff all double the size I ordered. I need the stuff, well we could live without brandy butter, so can't just reject it and have nothing.

Anyone know how long cooked turkey would keep, I've got a feeling we could live on it for a week but then I'd need to freeze the other meat I've got. Could I make it into a curry and freeze it?

Turkey crown not breast.

I popped down to waitrose for a few bits. We're tier 4 so only us for Xmas. The shop was fine, no waiting outside, no lines indoors - much better than the usual Christmas food shop! The veg section was bare but that's not uncommon for this particular shop and I wanted to go the the local veg man anyway as his veg are far better and local. So done and dusted, dont have to leave the house til after new year.

Been to Morrisons and the Co-op and both were lovely and quiet.
