HMSBeagle · 20/12/2020 22:43

0 first hand. Some via school, DHS work etc but no one first hand that I directly know

LadyMacnet · 20/12/2020 22:43

I extended family member

2 chaps who were going to do some outside maintenance on our house but that is now delayed until they are out of self isolation - 1 is asymptomatic the other has mild symptoms

Some colleagues and a number of students have had positive tests (secondary school teacher in Kent)

MadameTuffington · 20/12/2020 22:44

approx 45 residents and 50 staff where I work, 10 or so at my daughter’s school, 3 friends and about 15-20 of my older daughter’s friends (uni students) and we all live in Wiltshire ffs!!

MrsKramer · 20/12/2020 22:44

Loads. Out of people I know well, mostly not too bad. Worst was one very healthy early 30s woman who got horrible long covid, but now largely better, and one 40s man with potentially life chasing consequences, but he had serious underlying health issues it exacerbated.

Lockdowner13 · 20/12/2020 22:46

I’ve got a friend in Kent and the numbers are clearly going up. Her various bubbles (schools, nurseries etc) are bursting. Not just one person popping the bubble but several people at a time. Not good

saffire · 20/12/2020 22:46

5 that have died. One seriously ill in hospital that has suffered lifelong complications (early 50's no underlying conditions) and about 10 others.

BashfulClam · 20/12/2020 22:47

2 indirectly, I have just been tested and waiting for results.

FuckOffBorisYouTwat · 20/12/2020 22:47

Off the top my head about 20 people. 4 have long covid. 2 died :(

namesnamesnamesnames · 20/12/2020 22:48

...

Pamperedpet · 20/12/2020 22:48

Over 40 positives among people I actually know.

rooarsome · 20/12/2020 22:48

12 from my family and friends.

Posturesorposes · 20/12/2020 22:49

We don’t know anyone who has had covid, either suspected or confirmed.

Begonias · 20/12/2020 22:50

14 people at work (NHS frontline)
9 friends- sadly 1passed away
DD and now SIL

ChristmasBubble · 20/12/2020 22:50

4

1 was ventilated for weeks and very nearly didn't make it but recovered.

3 are colleagues and have had mild cases.

Several others suspected before testing was being done. I live very rurally and cases here have been low.

Roominmyhouse · 20/12/2020 22:51

2 locally, 2 family members up north, a friend in another area and then my friends dad who died in April. So 6 in total.

Bumsnet2021 · 20/12/2020 22:52

@saffire

5 that have died. One seriously ill in hospital that has suffered lifelong complications (early 50's no underlying conditions) and about 10 others.
Really? A third of the people you know who have had it have died when the average figure is less than 1%?

Are you/they very elderly?

ArtichokeAardvark · 20/12/2020 22:53

5, of whom 3 are doctors so were bound to get it at some point and then the other 2 are a married couple.

EskSmith · 20/12/2020 22:53

24, 1 died.

Currently tier 2, never higher.

Todayisgood2 · 20/12/2020 22:54

9 but I'm a teacher so 7 are linked to school. Other 2 ds and brother- care worker - 2 of his friends have died so far, early 50s

thismeansnothing · 20/12/2020 22:56

We've been in Tier 3 for ever. And don't know anyone who's had it. And there's been no cases as DDs school either. Obviously very very very lucky. My mum said there's been cases at her work so know of someone through someone. But not directly no.

LarkDescending · 20/12/2020 23:01
