How much are you drinking?

I have a couple of glasses of wine on a Friday Saturday and Sunday night sometimes I can finish a bottle one night 😬 🤪 It's something to enjoy and look forward to of an evening whilst watching the tv in these current times 🤣
How much alcohol is everyone drinking at the moment? Honestly 😆

OP posts:
catscatscatseverywhere · 07/11/2020 14:25

Not much. Very small glass of wine once a week. I never was a big drinker. I am pretty strict with alcohol.

Figgygal · 07/11/2020 14:27

Not enough
My biscuit intake has gone up I can’t take the wine calories too

ellentree · 07/11/2020 14:32

Normally 2 bottles a week over 5 or 6 nights. Though having November off in preparation for a boozy December!

Bubblemonkey · 07/11/2020 16:48

I think I've had a couple of vodka cokes at home during the first lockdown. then some ciders in the garden over the summer when the weather was lovely & had a couple of gins the other night. no real difference to normal imo

jessticker · 07/11/2020 16:55

None, not since earlier this year. Making up for it with regular codeine and diazepam though as I can't get a physio appointment for my knackered shoulder 🙄

Stillgoings · 07/11/2020 17:13

Me and my DH.mostly share 2 bottles of wine a week. Some weeks we'll have a couple of lagers or G&Ts in addition.

Storyofcats · 07/11/2020 22:21

G&t or a glass of wine most nights, occasionally two, try and have the odd night off.

BogRollBOGOF · 07/11/2020 22:57

More.
Still within guides as I'm a lightweight and a night of drinking is rarely more than a can of cider or pre-mixed can of gin.
But it is more frequent.

ManualFlusherSnot · 07/11/2020 23:00

I probably sound like an awful alcoholic, but I had 2 bottles of wine last night, and I’m close to finishing a second bottle tonight Blush

FiorDiPanna · 07/11/2020 23:08

I was necking it back at the beginning of the first lockdown, a bottle a night easily. That wasn’t going to end well, so decided to stop altogether. Haven’t had a drink in nearly 7 months.

MrsTumbletap · 07/11/2020 23:09

Very little, alcohol would make me feel down if I drank it regularly.

I drink about a bottle of wine a month.

Chlordiazepoxide · 07/11/2020 23:10

A bottle a night

Chlordiazepoxide · 07/11/2020 23:10

Wine

ImEatingVeryHealthilyOhYes · 07/11/2020 23:13

I’ve practically stopped. I live alone and have never really drunk alcohol alone so had none in the first lockdown and haven’t properly restarted.

Now I’m a total lightweight when I go out and wake up too early feeling all dried out even after one drink. I could have lots of water before bed but then I’d need a wee in the night and it would annoy me. I’m rambling now to avoid going to bed which I really should do...

Krazynights34 · 07/11/2020 23:31

Waaay to much. It shows. I’m a jelly baby!

Krazynights34 · 07/11/2020 23:31

Too

Lucked · 07/11/2020 23:45

When I think of the endless drinks and shots I downed in my twenties it makes my head spin, I just can’t handle alcohol anymore. I now have a couple of units a week. The odd time I stretch to 3 in a night I am aware of it the next day - not a full blown hangover but I feel off and sluggish and sleep badly so it’s easy for me to resist it.

I should start a thread asking how much chocolate and cake people are eating as that is my downfall.

noideabutstilltrying · 08/11/2020 07:15

I have stopped over lockdown. No fun drinking at home on my own. Actually feel better for it.

Before my husband left it would have been 1.5 litres of rum or gin between us a week.

It's helped not drinking with keeping anxiety in check

userxx · 08/11/2020 07:22

@ManualFlusherSnot Slippery slope.

frozendaisy · 08/11/2020 08:41

Shared a bottle of mulled white wine over the fire pit after garden fireworks last night it was lovely.

Will have a couple of glasses of red whilst making roast later, after homework.

During week drink various herbal teas in the evening.

Nc135 · 08/11/2020 08:43

Too much Confused

Anxiousannie32 · 08/11/2020 09:11

I've nearly got through a litre of gin this week Blush
I never feel hammered. And I only have 2-3 glasses a night but I suppose my measures must be rather generous.
I'm going to try and have a dry week. I know it's not good for me to be drinking like this.
I can easily polish a bottle of wine off in an evening too. It's pretty much unheard of for me to open a bottle and not finish it.

frozendaisy · 08/11/2020 10:56

Does anyone else see neighbours glass recycling bin and think, they're just as bad as us!

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 08/11/2020 11:09

@frozendaisy I used too ... but then our nice boozy neighbours moved house and the new ones are much more restrained 😭😂

Too answer the OP - we drank far too much in Lockdown 1, it was a party of two every night 😳🤪 . So this time I’m having to stop altogether for November, my wine belly will thank me for it 😇

TweeterandtheMonkeyman · 08/11/2020 11:10

*to not too - sobriety is ruining my spelling
