I have a couple of glasses of wine on a Friday Saturday and Sunday night sometimes I can finish a bottle one night 😬 🤪 It's something to enjoy and look forward to of an evening whilst watching the tv in these current times 🤣
How much alcohol is everyone drinking at the moment? Honestly 😆

OP posts:
CrunchyCarrot · 07/11/2020 09:19

None. I react to alcohol so it's been off the menu for a couple of years now.

BorisandHarriet · 07/11/2020 09:20

Loads.

gamerchick · 07/11/2020 09:25

Nothing at all. Last lockdown I stuck 10lbs on through boredom drinking and the snacking that goes hand in hand with it. This one (for what it is) is no alcohol or snacks. There's Christmas for that as it should be Grin

Mumisnotmyonlyname · 07/11/2020 09:27

One bottle of wine a week.

mamaduckbone · 07/11/2020 09:27

Usually a couple of glasses of wine on a Friday and Saturday...maybe one on Sunday to finish the bottleGrin
I do really look forward to my glass of red when I get home from work on Friday but can take it or leave it the rest of the time.

whattodo2019 · 07/11/2020 09:31

Bottle of Prosecco once a week.

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 07/11/2020 09:50

None, I don’t drink. Couple of friends have given up as it’s not good for the immune system so they didn’t think it was a good idea during the current situation. Few are drinking more judging by SM pictures.

Yourpartjewishfriend · 07/11/2020 09:55

These threads always bring out the 'one sherry at christmas' people.
I'm drinking a bottle of wine a week, have a few days off mid-week and try to keep it weekends. First lock down I was up to 25 units a week, so trying to be good this time.
In some countries the recommended limit is far higher, I recall Spain and some Pacific Islands it was as high as 52 units week for a man! 36 for a woman. That made me feel better 😆

hotcrosswhat · 07/11/2020 09:57

@Sailor2009 Grin I'm in the same boat (except I'm 4 months pregnant!)

SazCat · 07/11/2020 10:04

4 months pregnant here too and I'm jealous too Grin Wine
Before I got pregnant was drinking at least 3 bottles a week, which did feel a bit too much to be honest. But lockdown, a family bereavement and a miscarriage didn't help to be honest.

RaininSummer · 07/11/2020 10:16

Not a big drinker anyway as two has me feeling quite tipsy normally but I am drinking about half as much as pre Covid times as my regular outings are off. So a glass of wine a couple of times a week depending on what's for dinner and an occasional gin or whisky if in the mood. More often than not, I have a cuppa instead. Weird really as I have all sorts of lovely booze in the house as I like the bottles.

NaturalLight · 07/11/2020 11:36

Similar to other posters I gone from a bottle of wine over the weekend to 2 bottles. Had a bottle last night so don’t want to drink at all tonight. Need to keep my resolve

Don't forget that small glass of red they had at their sister's wedding 4 years ago.

MrsBennetsnerves · 07/11/2020 11:53

Nothing for a week so far. I was drinking too much over the last few months and I've reached the point where I would have my usual amount (too much anyway) and crave more. I'm planning on taking it up to Xmas, drink again then do Dry January but may decide to extend it further.

Preg19 · 07/11/2020 12:44

Would definitely be half a bottle of wine tonight if I wasn't pregnant. The 3 year olds just stopped napping 😭

CoffeeCreamandSugar · 07/11/2020 12:49

Nothing because I have the feeling that if I do I’ll just keep having one more every evening until I’m suddenly drinking loads.

TiddleTaddleTat · 07/11/2020 12:51

None at all! It's due to a health condition. I miss it a little, but less than I thought I would.

ilovesooty · 07/11/2020 12:54

Haven't had a drink since well before the first lockdown. It's not some kind of achievement; it's just that I only drink as a social activity and my social circle has changed over the years anyway.

DialsMavis · 07/11/2020 12:55

Last lockdown we were drinking 5 or6 nights a week, seems crazy now, the money and calories we wasted! Have cut down massively since then to more normal levels. This lockdown I am determined to not use alcohol and food as a crutch and going to try and make exercise my crutch Hmm. We had a few Weds eve with friends but not drunk since then and we are having the weekend off.

justaweeone · 07/11/2020 13:07

Too much
It's stressful and v cold at work at the mo( school), also ate loads of chocolate and biscuits at work last week which I'm normally not that keen on even eatingBlush
As of Monday I'm on the wagon!

Calmandmeasured1 · 07/11/2020 13:09

None.

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 07/11/2020 13:14

This week we've had a drink every night. So will be close to 4 bottles of wine.

But we both know that's too much so from Monday going back to normal, which is 4 nights no booze, 3 nights with a few glasses of wine. Usually ~2 bottles a week.

Peasinthefreezer · 07/11/2020 13:36

I used to rearly drink at home, only socially or with a meal out. But last lockdown decided to keep our local bar in business when they decided to do wine deliveries 😬

Kept this up through the summer - a nice few glasses of Rose on a warm day!

Decided as soon as the kids were back in school to stop the home drinking and lose the stone I put on. So I was only having the odd glass every couple of weeks until now when out!

I'm going to drink nothing on this lockdown, unless it carries on till Christmas at which time i’ll treat myself!

What’s the issue with saying you drink very little? Do you think those posters are lying?

MrsJonesAndMe · 07/11/2020 14:24

Nothing - the same as every other day/week Wink I will probably have a few Baileys through the Christmas period, but I'm really not a drinker.
