"Boris Johnson is holding a press conference with Sir Simon Stevens, the chief executive of NHS England, at 5pm, No 10 has announced."

What do we think he’s going to say? I’m a bit worried about what he might say.

But I can pretty much guarantee he won’t be on time at 5pm, I’m guessing more like 6!

Urghhh again!!! Can't someone else speak?!

Be the same as usual..waffle
waffle..something meaningful surrounded by waffling on. Should make the slides if using any more intresting. Use PowerPoint effects.. bit of a woosh heres a graph every now and then.

Aridane · 05/11/2020 16:58

I think BJ will perform this number with his cronies

TheDrsDocMartens · 05/11/2020 16:58

@Bubblemonkey

Is turning his conference bs into a drinking game a bad idea? 👀 shot every time he repeats himself? 🤣
My dd tried a drinking game to the last speech with her flat mates, apparently not pretty.
Viviennemary · 05/11/2020 16:58

Fingers in ears La La La. We are being spun a web of lies.

Oblomov20 · 05/11/2020 17:00

I'm getting really fed up with Boris making announcements of 5pm conferences of waffle and not much substance.

the80sweregreat · 05/11/2020 17:01

Our PM must hate this work marlarky.
As mayor of London he could have down time and delegate and chase women ( allegedly) ditto a back bencher. but now , it's overtime on a Saturday ( unpaid) covid , pressers, awkward questions and some of his own party hating him. Brexit might save him a bit ( maybe?) but mostly it's pretty shite. Be careful what you wish for in life is a great saying.

nosswith · 05/11/2020 17:02

@TibetanTerrier I have long felt that politicians should not be part of the Cenotaph ceremony, and the thought of Mr Johnson being there is the best reason yet.

Iheartmysmart · 05/11/2020 17:04

@nosswith No, Pointless is on BBC1 unless you’re referring to the quiz show which will probably be moved to BBC2.

He was so late last time a lot of the wine was already gone here by the time he started.

Calmandmeasured1 · 05/11/2020 17:07

It's started but 7 minutes late.

Putting it back in it’s box sounds like a new sound bite.

If you drink to that you will die.

VeggieSausageRoll · 05/11/2020 17:11

Can someone post the lowdown? Got kids making a racket here

Saucery · 05/11/2020 17:11

I’m imagining Covid 19 leaning nonchalantly against a wall, studying its fingernails, sneering.

Westfacing · 05/11/2020 17:13

Still trying to ingratiate himself with the people of Liverpool!

@CovidClara

Never, in the field of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few. The NHS saved my life and did you know that I am now so broke that my last child was born in an NHS hospital- amazing- who knew that you didn't have to pay to give birth.

We will fight them in the car parks of Costco, The Range and Home Bargains. We will fight them in the RHS gardens and the garden centres of England. Stay at home unless you need to go out. If you have to go out take care and be safe. Above all support the economy and go to B&M but don't you dare set foot in a gym or a pub.

It is simple.

Called it.
Splodgetastic · 05/11/2020 17:17

This NHS guy is super slick.
