@JuniLoolaPalooza

Will they lock playgrounds again?
No, the detailed guidance is out now and it specifically says playgrounds can stay open.
AnguaResurgam · 31/10/2020 22:41

@Shieldingending

Why about church services?
Mainly closed.

Can be open for individual prayer, to let a celebrant stream religious services, for funerals. Also for community/voluntary such as food banks, hosting blood donation sessions and permitted/exempt support groups. Plus formal established childcare which uses religious buildings can continue

carolinesbaby · 31/10/2020 22:42

Afraid so.

*the Government has ordered certain businesses and venues to close. These include:

...

indoor and outdoor leisure facilities such as bowling alleys, leisure centres and gyms, sports facilities including swimming pools, golf courses and driving ranges, dance studios, stables and riding centres, soft play facilities, climbing walls and climbing centres, archery and shooting ranges, water and theme parks,*

Thanks @Tatapie

LocalHobo · 31/10/2020 22:51

Builders Merchants can stay open. Construction is considered essential.

MyNameForToday1980 · 31/10/2020 22:51

kursaalflyer · 31/10/2020 22:51

What about campsites? I have two nights booked next week. Looking forward to it but presume these will be closed as before

EweSurname · 31/10/2020 22:51

My queries are:
Private therapists?
Dump?
Church services?

Stressed206 · 31/10/2020 22:52

Any news on estate agents? I have 2 valuations booked for Tuesday on my parents' old house.

No overnight stays, anywhere unless on business.
kursaalflyer · 31/10/2020 22:53

Oh yes, just spotted it thanks.

Bunnybigears · 31/10/2020 22:54

Is a private therapist appointment considered leaving the house for medical purposes? DS has just started getting somewhere it would be awful for him if he had to stop going.

Blondiney · 31/10/2020 22:56

Post offices will still be open presumably?

Versace104 · 31/10/2020 22:57

Yes :)

JJsDinerWaffles · 31/10/2020 22:59

My DD has a piano exam in a couple of weeks ... wonder if this counts as ‘education’?

Brashopper · 31/10/2020 23:00

@kursaalflyer, the guidance linked above says in section 11

“ Overnight stays and holidays away from primary residences will not be allowed- including holidays in the UK and abroad. This includes staying in a second home, if you own one, or staying with anyone you do not live with or are in a support bubble with. There are specific exceptions, for example if you need to stay away from home (including in a second home) for work purposes..”

Camping would be an overnight stay away from your primary residence. Unless you’ll be home again by Thursday?

GorgeousGoldies · 31/10/2020 23:01

@Nacreous LTA website says they’re going to petition for outdoor 1:1 tennis to be allowed to continue...🤞

TheGriffle · 31/10/2020 23:02

Vets? My cats booked in to get her very matted undercoat (well all her back end) shaved off in 2 weeks time. I hope she can still go as she’s uncomfortable with it and we’ve been waiting 3 weeks already for this appointment.

MamOfTwo · 31/10/2020 23:03

Libraries? Can't see any mention of them in the guidance?

ivfbeenbusy · 31/10/2020 23:04

@TheGriffle

Vets stayed open during the last lockdown so would think this will still be the case next week

XiCi · 31/10/2020 23:04

Vets are still open. Theres a list on sky news of what is and isnt allowed to stay open.

carolinesbaby · 31/10/2020 23:06
