Here is my list. Will any/all these things be shut?

Swimming for adults? Club swimming for children? Tennis clubs for children?

Is McDonald’s still open?

notevenat20 · 31/10/2020 22:06

What's infuriating is that parliament can't amend it. They can just accept or reject it in its entirety.

@movingonup20

Everything is shut except overpaid elite footballers it seems, even golf that you can play alone/in households which makes no sense.
Footballers who can't wfh going to work in an industry that has done more than any other to be covid secure and that supports 100,000 jobs, pays over £2bn pa in tax and contributes £3.5bn to GDP but yes you're right your golf is more important Grin

Libraries?

Is McDonald’s still open?

I guess for takeaway only?

Last time McDonald's shut for ages even for takeaway so not sure tbh.

GorgeousGoldies · 31/10/2020 22:22

I think you’ll be ok for your Christmas tree - garden centres can stay open!

ivfbeenbusy · 31/10/2020 22:22

What about the tip? Any thoughts?

1stV45 · 31/10/2020 22:24

McDonalds were/are really good to their staff and actually closed before they were forced to (staff on full pay initially). They then set about altering their restaurants and working practices to reopen safely, which they seem to have done. Very few cases around their restaurants despite a young workforce (you know, the ones getting all the blame) so I think they will stay open for takeaway this time.

Library? Sad

Versace104 · 31/10/2020 22:26

Probably :(

Georgeoftheinternet · 31/10/2020 22:26

@1stV45 they don’t seem as busy :(

McDonalds? The one DS works at has had records days (for takings) every week since they reopened. Delivery has gone through the roof.

AuntieStella · 31/10/2020 22:31

What I don't get is why in section 3 it's ok to go to public gardens (whether paying or not), but in section 4 it says botanical gardens have to be closed.

borageforager · 31/10/2020 22:33

Will kids sports at school stop?

My DD's school after school netball was supposed to be starting up again this half term. It's all the same kids she is "bubbled" with (in their intimate bubble of 300) so don't see why it shouldn't happen...

Pinkflipflop85 · 31/10/2020 22:33

Don't seem as busy?!

We have 3 extremely local to us and they are all very busy. The walk in one has queues out of the door and the drive thru is always so long!

Shieldingending · 31/10/2020 22:33

Why about church services?

Lobelia76 · 31/10/2020 22:34

MOT test centres? Car was originally due in March and extended for 6 months, booked in for a couple of weeks time

HotToCold · 31/10/2020 22:35

But its not Tier 3 OP....

Confused
Georgeoftheinternet · 31/10/2020 22:36

@Pinkflipflop85 due to reduced staff.

Nacreous · 31/10/2020 22:37

I did wonder about tennis as if you played with one other person you'd got the group of two and it could be outdoors and socially distanced.

I haven't checked the details though.

Plodder89 · 31/10/2020 22:38

What about probation appointments?

Tatapie · 31/10/2020 22:38

Garages are allowed to stay open
JuniLoolaPalooza · 31/10/2020 22:39

Will they lock playgrounds again?

tobermoryisthebestwomble · 31/10/2020 22:39

Anyone heard anything on driving lessons? I would expect them to stop but also wonder if its ine of the jobs you should go to 'if you can't work from home'
