Tier 3 - Lancashire

DS - Year 1 - None
DD -Preschool- none

Had our first case reported in the school today so reception off until end of half term 😢

Porcupineinwaiting · 20/10/2020 23:36

Y8 and Y10. None - but there are 8 cases of COVID and c80 kids self isolating at their school.

ADealingMummy · 20/10/2020 23:37

Year 11 Norfolk. Tested positive today.

SeekingAnswers3 · 21/10/2020 00:38

One

notevenat20 · 21/10/2020 05:28

Primary - one. Infected teacher.

ProfessorPootle · 21/10/2020 05:54

Year 4 - none

Year 6 - one, just coming to the end of the two week period as his class bubble closed after a positive case. Hopefully he’ll be back straight after half term. He’d just had a cough and we’d all stayed home awaiting the negative result the day before he returned and was sent home again.

It’s annoying but a thousand times better than them all being home for months on end.

Drivingbuttercup · 21/10/2020 06:33

Dd- twice for two weeks.
Ds -once for two weeks
Me- one for two weeks and another for a week.

Im sick as a chip too. Dd back at school today and we are free as birds ready for half term. Luckily some of dc self isolation has coincided with mine. Work has said if dc bubble has to close and i need time off for childcare it will be unpaid!

Merename · 21/10/2020 06:35

Just about to have 3rd episode, 2 small kids and several colds since returned in August, 2 with coughs and now I have a cough so getting tested today. Argh

Bickles · 21/10/2020 06:38

One- 2 days while we waited for test results- he had a cough.
West Yorkshire so not a good area!

sunflowers246 · 21/10/2020 06:38

None

(Both in Secondary)

Popcornriver · 21/10/2020 06:45

One each. Couldn't get a test when they showed symptoms so we isolated

Positivelypatient · 21/10/2020 06:55

DD - Lower 6th Form - 2.

Currently on 2nd 2week isolation as the school in their wisdom is allowing students to mix in common room and won't let them just attend for lessons to reduce contact.

Absolutely fuming on her behalf as she will now be housebound during half term.

MarjorytheTrashHeap · 21/10/2020 06:58

One for me (teacher), just due back to school when told that DD1's class now have to isolate. Two different primary schools in a Tier 1 area in the south east.

I can also attest that in my DC's school of around 1500 pupils, there have been confirmed positive cases in all year groups, twelve in total.

We get a parent letter each time this happens advising if our child is/isn't a contact. Years 7-9 are in class bubbles so one class sent home (from a 8 or 10 form entry) for each positive case.

The rest of the school are in year group bubbles. Y12 and 13 are less risky as their class groups are smaller therefore their potential contacts are also fewer. From the start the school has only been contacting close contacts of confirmed cases so as few kids are sent home as possible. However in moving between 11 subject classes in mixed groups this can still take out a fair chunk of pupils.

Interesting that my DC's school has just written to us saying they will no longer write each time a positive case is confirmed due to the admin burden, but will add limited details to their website.

1 so far both kids in primary

alliejay81 · 21/10/2020 07:32

Amazing none. We live in Greater Manchester and our (secondary) school has been very disrupted. At one point only year seven and year eight were in school and even those years had kids missing.

The teachers have been delivering a mixture of face-to-face, virtual and virtual/face-to-face classes. I think they're bloody amazing!

Dontlickthetrolley · 21/10/2020 07:43

Today is day 1, close contact of confirmed case. Class assembly is at 8.45. Y4

drumandthebass · 21/10/2020 07:51

None. DS Year 10 and year 12 at different schools. 2 cases at both schools but haven't affected DS. East
Midlands

Pesimistic · 21/10/2020 07:51

Class bubble sent home last monday so few more days of isolation left for him, (primary school)

HairyToity · 21/10/2020 07:57

DS - nursery - none
DD - year 3 - none

Feel like it's just a matter of time.

Legoandloldolls · 21/10/2020 09:02

4 school.age kids and only one has had to isolate due to a close contact at the start of summer.

I'm amazed we have been lucky touch wood so far. I'm a sahm luckily and it's another thing that puts me off logistically going back to work in a pandemic

NavyKitchen · 21/10/2020 09:26

Dc1 none - Uni halls
Dc2 three - y10
Dc3 none - y5

SwabIt · 21/10/2020 13:08
