In our town, across 6 primary schools, 3 classes From one school were sent home as a member of staff tested positive. And the sixth form were sent home From the secondary school. That’s it.
None of my children have been sent home to isolate for 14 days. I’m aware of lots having the odd day (or several days) off waiting for test results, but overall this half term hasn’t been as bad as I thought it was going to be (touch wood).

CountFosco · 20/10/2020 20:30

None. 3DC, one at Primary (3 form intake so big), two at Secondary. We have been quite lucky though, there have been 6 cases at our secondary, 3 of them in DD2's year but she has been in a different bubble so hasn't been affected. We're in a Tier 2 area.

FairfaxHigh · 20/10/2020 20:31

One each- same primary, different bubbles so started three days apart.

Doyouthinktheysaurus · 20/10/2020 20:31

None for either DS. They are in Year 12 and 13.
We have been lucky, year 11 were out for 2 weeks and about to go back I think.

Keeping everything crossed DS1 stays in, he's got his A level mocks and a Uni entrance exam after half term.

We are south coast, figures low compared to some areas but creeping up.

ohidoliketobe · 20/10/2020 20:33

DS (KS1) - 0
DD (preschool) - 1 due to staff member.

We're in a T3 area so have got off lightly, imagine its only a matter of time before we have another one.

ShanghaiDiva · 20/10/2020 20:34

None
Dd is in secondary and we are in south west.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 20/10/2020 20:38

5dc, 4 at primary, 1 at nursery.

Due to cases in the school, none (in any year group).

Due to symptoms, 2. 3 days out the first time. 2.5 the second.

South Warwickshire.

MillieMoodle · 20/10/2020 21:05

None, 9yo and 4yo, Tier 1 area.

There are two year groups closed in DS1s primary, due to children testing positive. Nothing at pre-school yet.

clopper · 20/10/2020 21:11

None DD at FE college
My own school ( primary) one bubble of 20 children.

ItsLikeSputnik · 20/10/2020 21:13

None. DS is S1 and DD S4 at high school of approximately 850 kids in North Lanarkshire (area is under extra measures). One teacher has had it, but no pupils needed to isolate as teacher had been socially distancing.

Longdistance · 20/10/2020 21:16

One. Dd had a cold, it went to her chest and was told she and dd2 couldn’t come back until we had a negative test. It was when they were mega short on testing. Took four days to get a test. Then three days for the result.
