IndecentFeminist · 20/10/2020 21:22

Three kids, none for any of them or us.

Hollyhead · 20/10/2020 21:23

We had 2 days isolating while we waited for a test but it luckily coincided with a weekend and the test came back quickly.

Sirzy · 20/10/2020 21:26

One for DS after a week back in school.

His primary school has 9 bubbles and so far 4 of them have had a period of isolation

wwud12 · 20/10/2020 21:33

None; I'm in West Yorkshire with one child in primary and another in secondary.

kitschplease · 20/10/2020 21:38

None - primary age. Happy to have made it to half term. Next goal Christmas! We'll see ...

CeeJay81 · 20/10/2020 21:40

None. Not heard of any bubbles being burst in primary and Secondary here.

Choconuttolata · 20/10/2020 21:42

4 as a family due to someone having symptoms, none related to contacts in school.

Two for fever with tooth infections (different kids).

Two for cough (different family members).

All tests negative.

Eldest's secondary school has had cases in the 6th form only so far.

SaltyAndFresh · 20/10/2020 21:44

None, they're in a rural primary.

I teach secondary however, and KS4 have been badly hit with most having had at least two periods of SI.

ThatDamnScientist · 20/10/2020 21:48

We are on 3 weeks now, 1 week isolating for our symptoms (negative results but waiting time for tests Angry and during that time a boy in her class tested positive, class bubble closed. We weren’t sure if we needed to isolate though as we weren’t there. Just to be safe she isolated 14 days from last contact anyway (last contact Friday, boy got symptoms on Tuesday and positive result on Thursday).

ThatDamnScientist · 20/10/2020 21:48

Oh, primary btw

underneaththeash · 20/10/2020 21:50

DS1 Y10 - 2 periods one of 3 days and the other 3 days (he was ill during both, cough and temp, but covid -ve).
DS2 Y8 - 2 days whilst waiting for my test results last week.
DD Y5 - same as DS2
Both should have also isolated during DS1s first wait for -ve result, but I was an arse and didn't read the regulations properly.

IncidentsandAccidents · 20/10/2020 21:51

None. 2 primary age dc. No cases in the school. Quite a few children have had to isolate due to colds with coughs but all results were negative. Very happy to have made it to half term.

Thegreymethod · 20/10/2020 21:53

I've got 4 children, 1 high school (isolated once for 2 weeks because of a positive case in his year.
3 primary 1 has isolated for almost 2 weeks (school didn't close the bubble for 3 days after the confirmed case!! And we're in a tier 3 area!) the other 2 haven't had to isolate yet.

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2020 22:06

Op I asked this on chat and got 2 replies, one snipeyGrin

1 primary dc in SI now.

1 older dc secondary awaiting test results.

TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2020 22:07

The grey how do you know they didn't close the bubble?

pettyprudence · 20/10/2020 22:08

None yet for either of my DC in the same primary school in Cardiff. The school have yet to have any reported cases. I had predicted our first bubble isolation would be 30th Sept so quite pleased it hasn't happened yet.
We'd had several text alerts for a big outbreak of nits in the first 2 weeks back though - somehow my two have managed to dodge them!

Thegreymethod · 20/10/2020 22:09

@TheHouseonHauntedHill

The grey how do you know they didn't close the bubble?
Because my child is in the bubble that didn't close.
TheHouseonHauntedHill · 20/10/2020 22:11

So the school were honest and gave you this information?

ginberry4 · 20/10/2020 22:15

Twice here. Both kids in primary
First time 4/5 days off (both kids poorly & awaiting test results - negative)
Second time 1 day off while I awaited test results

Snoodleberry · 20/10/2020 22:15

None

Badgerbadger88 · 20/10/2020 22:17

None

Timtims · 20/10/2020 22:19

Y10 = 1
Y7 = 1

Both due to positive cases in (huge) bubbles.

Dee1975 · 20/10/2020 22:22

None yet. But fully expect it for both DC at some point. But I’d rather we had to SI for 14 days (even a few times) than completely miss school for another 6 months.
We had 2 days where we had to SI waiting for a result. Negative thankfully!

HazeyJaneII · 20/10/2020 22:26

...make that 3
Just had an email that dd1 and 2s school is closing tomorrow, have to wait to hear whether they've had close contact.
