One, off for two weeks because of cases. In the school I teach in five out of the seven classes have had time at home because of a staff member testing positive

CharBart · 20/10/2020 19:00

TW2013 · 20/10/2020 19:01

All off for one day waiting for (negative) test result.

Isolemnlyswear · 20/10/2020 19:02

DS year 9, DS and DD year 6 all had 2 days last week waiting for DD test result which came back negative. Now DD class mate has tested positive, whole class sent home Monday to isolate for 14 days. However DS in same year can still go to school as he is not in DD school bubble!!!!!

DD in Y9 has had 2 isolations due to 2 cases of Covid in the year & her tutor group.
The poor kids had only been back for 4 days then they got the 2nd isolation.
I'm just waiting for the 3rd one........

nex18 · 20/10/2020 19:04

Dd in 6th form is isolating after contact with a friend who’s a a uni student, not from school. There’s other similar cases. Ds has been in, there’s no cases in the school and so no bubbles out.

MarshaBradyo · 20/10/2020 19:05

Ds yr11 none
Ds yr6 only because he had cough and was tested, negative though

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 20/10/2020 19:07

None - DS is in year 3. We haven’t had any school cases. We’re in greater Manchester

UncomfortableSilence · 20/10/2020 19:07

None, Y11 & Y6, London schools.

3littlewords · 20/10/2020 19:09

1 DC out of 3 has had to isolate due to the dinner lady testing positive. There has been no other bubble burst in the primary apart from DC bubble this week.
2 cases that parents have been informed about in DS high school, no full years sent home only close contacts. Im in a high rate area too, I put it down to luck more than anything else

Feellikefrighteningyeah · 20/10/2020 19:11

None. Our school has only had a couple of cases. And we are in a big city in the brink of very high tier

BettySweaty · 20/10/2020 19:13

Ds1 Yr 11. None, but a load of kids in Yr 11 have been sent home on 2 consecutive days. We have not been informed of how many covid cases.

Ds2 yr8 second period of isolation. 1st one occurred on the 5th day at school, in September
