Would you have the vaccine...

Just curious. Yes or no is fine.

If the vaccine against Covid19 was offered to you would you have it?

I'm not an anti vaccinations at all ( though I don't take my dog for boosters and do a titre test to check his immunity) but I don't feel like there would be enough testing done on a rushed vaccine. It would be hard one in our little household as DH is totally for it and I'm totally against at moment! We're not in a vulnerable/shielding group, both early 40's with a teenager. Both keyworkers but not on frontline.

For people who say no because they haven't been able to study the long term effects, how long would you be willing to wait and live in a socially distanced, mask wearing society? How long is long enough for you to be happy that long term effects are known?

Not a cats hell in chance would I have the vaccine. Hospital additions are low, excess deaths are low. Below 20 a day.

Why do I need it? I’m very low risk of ever being poorly from it. So no thanks.

I've not forgotten Thalidomide

Neither have I - my sibling is among those damaged by it. You have, however, forgotten the massive changes to drug licensing regulations which were brought in in response to the Thalidomide tragedy.[/quote]
Didn’t stop then giving swine flu vaccines out to children which caused narcolepsy and the Gov are still paying out compensation to them.

No way will me or my kids be having that vaccine. We’re very low risk - we will brave it out.

Couple of months would do me. If there were any previously unreported issues (e.g Gillain Barre) it would be in the press by then.

I'm normally in for any decent vaccine going - including the ones you have to go private and pay for - but this one is brand new and fast tracked. I don't do fast tracked medicine and certainly not for my child. However, I will absolutely do it when it's less new and less untested and will then be happy to have my child receive it also.
