Personal wish list, not what’s best for the country nor what I think should actually be prioritised. Just my fingers crossed hopes:

Primary schools - at least part time
Playgrounds
Being able to sit on a bench/grass while exercising the kids, not having to keep moving at all times
Being able to drive further than a mile down the road without the police questioning you (yes this happened several times to people in my (pretty compliant) rural SE town.
Keeping support bubbles with single adult households

Also wouldn’t mind my UK holiday going ahead in 3 weeks time.

What do you think my chances are?

Schools and other childcare, dentists, the ability to meet other people outside and libraries are what's on my list. I'm not fussed about indoors, we don't have a big enough house to be able to socially distance from people in anyway.

OldLace · 03/08/2020 18:35

I'd like as much of the NHS to stay open as possible.

I'd like ALL children in School PART TIME as this is sustainable
(and next years exams re thought)

support bubbles to remain for single parents /the vulnerable

exercise outdoors and places of worship would be nice

pubs, shops, cafes, theatres - meh! (nice but can live without)

IceCreamAndCandyfloss · 03/08/2020 18:53

Non Covid healthcare and dentists/opticians etc as healthcare should be a priority.

Robust remote learning platform so no large gatherings and teachers/children and families are kept safe.

Support for the vulnerable and shielding and the enforcement of SD, masks etc so they aren’t not able to leave the house.

ChavvySexPond · 03/08/2020 19:08

Some education for the children even if it's very part time under a gazebo outside,

healthcare, opticians and dentists etc.

More provision for people told to Shield. Last time they were just shut away for 4 months. I honestly think the government should give every Shielder a voucher to fund afternoon tea on the terrace at a stately home or something to thank them for their sacrifice.

They weren't able to go out At All. Or see their family and friends At All.

It must have been very hard.

whenwillthemadnessend · 03/08/2020 19:10

School
Coffee shops
Shops in general
Resturants or pubs that serve a proper meal.

In that orde

whenwillthemadnessend · 03/08/2020 19:10

Oh all healthcare. As well

Ylvamoon · 03/08/2020 19:13

School
Work (I am in an office & we can't work from home)
Gym

That's really the very basic things I need. 😉

Pantheon · 03/08/2020 19:16

I have a toddler and I'm hoping there'll be some kind of play groups allowed if schools are OK to open. And playgrounds. Plus hopefully bubbles. And obviously everything related to the NHS, dentists etc

Mumratheevergiving · 03/08/2020 19:16

Keeping schools open is the highest priority for so many. I hope the Government are listening to the public!

Delatron · 03/08/2020 19:38

I hope they are listening too. It just doesn’t seem right to see all these crowds of people at the pubs when the kids haven’t been in school since March. I know it it the summer holiday now but we shouldn’t have just opened up everything at once and risk their education.

As many of here have said, we’d sit inside, not going to pubs, restaurants, gyms just so our children can get an education. I know these industries are struggling, I work in the leisure industry, yet I would still prioritise children right now.

Proudtocare · 04/08/2020 08:48

Definately schools and children's activities- football clubs, dance lessons etc....
I'd like to be able to drive to exercise.
Meet close family and friends, even if outside.

PollyPelargonium52 · 04/08/2020 12:51

Schools. I am happy if pubs and restaurants shut again. Even hair dressers and salons. But I think the government must give further economic help to any of those sectors who are affected.

thebear1 · 04/08/2020 12:56

Schools anything else would be a bonus. Oh I would like my Mum to actually have her usual face to face check she is cancer free rather than a phone appointment. I would also like some days in the office. As a hater of Christmas they can cancel that if I can have everything else.

wherestheotherone · 04/08/2020 13:15

Schools, healthcare, gyms, takeaway food/catering options.
Self catering holiday accommodation.
Outdoor sports.
Library services.
Churches.
Outdoor parks, gardens and playgrounds.

Social support, education and support for online retail and takeaway pub and restaurant services. I hope guidance could be given in terms of frequency of visits to places.

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 04/08/2020 13:36

I would like

Part time - distanced, safe, schooling arrangements
I have kids who will be Y6, Y9 & Y11
no fucking pointless SATS - for the Y6.
Part time is fine

For me - I need to SWIM!

ReviewingTheSituation · 04/08/2020 13:52

Schools, obviously. But I don't get all the clamouring out there for so much else to be shut down. Without pubs, restaurants, shops and other leisure businesses (and all the businesses in the supply chain for these businesses, which are huge 'behind the scenes' operations) there will be MASS unemployment. And then where does all the tax money come from the pay for the NHS and schools (and the benefits for the people who are out of work)? And where are those people going to be housed when they can't afford their mortgages or rent? We HAVE to have a working economy - we simply can't shut it down.

itsaratrap · 04/08/2020 20:40

That’s the problem though, isn’t it? You can’t force people to visit pubs, restaurants, gyms etc. if they just don’t believe it’s safe to do so.
I really, really feel for local, small business. One in particular opened in our town about a week after lockdown (food shop/takeaway). I can’t begin to imagine how they must have felt after, presumably, putting everything they had into it and planning for months.
My husband was shielding though and however much I’d like to help out, I just don’t feel safe going in to buy from them as infection rates increase (here in the North West).
People will, obviously, prioritise their vulnerable loved ones over strangers if they have that choice.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 04/08/2020 20:45

schools, obviously.
but also orchestras. Both of my DC play in orchestras, and I'd love to hear some live music as well. Not holding my breath though.

A more achievable ask would be for DC2 to be allowed at least one friend to come for a birthday celebration in October. We're in the NW area of enhanced restrictions, so right now that wouldn't possible
