More changes, more masks, pausing further openings - plus get back to the office.

I was quite Hmm at the idea of 5000 at the races on Saturday.

@HotPatootiebootie

Sounds just like my mother. She can’t believe the amount she’s been getting paid for practically nothing.
She did have a little moan the other day though. Apparently it’s “a little irritating” to refresh the page every ten minutes. Grin

Only on page one. Total shit show. I honestly despair.

@labelsaccidentalbrewing

our local barbers isn't doing beard trimming.
Neither is ours, they haven’t published a date when they will start yet either.

@GreytExpectations

*I feel like some people don't understand how we won't be able to restart the economy until the virus is under control.

It isn't one or the other, they go together.*

No, it really isn't. You don't seem to have much knowledge on the economy if you think if can afford to crash.

I don't think it can afford to crash, but you will not get it properly restarted while the people who both have most of the money AND are most at risk from covid i.e. pensioners are unable to get out freely.

It's all well and good sending someone like me to the office, but due to children and mortgage etc my disposable income is low compared to many older people.

Unless you intend to start seizing assets from pensioners, how will you force them to spend?

No, it really isn't. You don't seem to have much knowledge on the economy if you think if can afford to crash

So it’s a pity we have a government from a political party that does not instinctively prioritise businesses and the economy

Oh, wait ....

pepperycinnamon · 31/07/2020 18:40

Our dentist cancelled all appointments from March-end of August. I wonder if it's different for dentists that are only doing private work?

HeIenaDove · 31/07/2020 19:16

Go into a barbers............tell them you identify as a man.............problem solved.

QuarantineDiva · 01/08/2020 09:19

I shaved my hair off on a number 5. Fuck it, its only hair, it will grow. Not been in a hairdressers since last year and don't intend to.

I quite like it, its really liberating and DH loves it, he can't stop rubbing it, feels like velvet! Grin

I have no time for vanity in a pandemic

exiledfromcornwall · 01/08/2020 13:40

Some of us pensioners do know how to order things online!

labyrinthloafer · 01/08/2020 15:26

Yes, and goods will be not as badly hit as things like theatre, cinema, restaurants, guided tours etc. I can't see my parents getting tickets for the theatre for a long while yet.
