No. I'm more likely to go and stay longer if more people were wearing them.

DonaldTrumpsChopper · 13/07/2020 15:09

Yes.

Shesingsshangrila · 13/07/2020 15:10

Yes.

nex18 · 13/07/2020 15:10

Yes it would. I suppose I might go to the supermarket but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Flipfloptanlines · 13/07/2020 15:12

Yes

Dinnerfor1 · 13/07/2020 15:12

No, I would be more likely to go back to the shops if I knew people would be wearing for them.

BelleSausage · 13/07/2020 15:13

No- I’d much prefer it. I would probably shop in person more.

The data shows that it works to stop infection.

So wear a mask or have further lockdowns. We can have all the freedoms we used to have. Just get over it. FFS

Badbadbunny · 13/07/2020 15:13

Nope, if everyone wore masks, I'd go shopping a lot more.

teaflake · 13/07/2020 15:13

Yes.

ButterMeCrumpets · 13/07/2020 15:15

Yes I will just switch to online for everything that is possible to get online.

okiedokieme · 13/07/2020 15:15

Yes, so hot and claustrophobic, will switch to online shopping. Not going to the mall anyway

greenestolives · 13/07/2020 15:15

A - I don't want to go high-street shopping anyway.

B - I can't wear a mask for medical reasons, and have been turned away from a shop, even when I have explained. So they can fuck off.

C - There really isn't anything I need to buy.

dottiedodah · 13/07/2020 15:15

We went shopping yesterday to a reasonable size prosperous market town about an hours drive from us (South Coast) and half the shops were shut with several closed down!Quite sad to see really .Had a coffee out and then sat in the park with our sandwiches .Only really been to Sainsburys /petrol station up to now .Will not be hurrying back to shopping thats for sure!

tigger001 · 13/07/2020 15:16

It would definitely not put me off.
I respect every single person I see with one on correctly for doing their bit to try and help the spread.

I have no respect for people who "choose" (not medically can't) to put our most venerable in society at risk. Why do they need to be told by the government before being a decent human being and decent member of society.

chaoticisatroll55 · 13/07/2020 15:17

No. It's not safe currently and people are deluding themselves if they think it is so masks offer some protection.

dottiedodah · 13/07/2020 15:17

Have Asthma and would worry that if I dont wear a mask will get funny looks, and if I do may find it harder to breathe and have to take it off!

LovingLen · 13/07/2020 15:17

Yes, I was put off anyway but don't really need to go to shops, most things can be bought online.

Drivingdownthe101 · 13/07/2020 15:19

Yes, I cannot wear a mask so I’ll be staying at home. Will save me loads of money!

PilatesPeach · 13/07/2020 15:19

Will wear one to shop but won't be leisure shopping the way I once did, it will just be once a week at supermarket but definitely CBA with going to a pub/restaurant and having to take it on and off or up and down between mouthfuls.

TazSyd · 13/07/2020 15:20

Yes. I’m already put off. Shopping used to be a fun experience, it isn’t now. I don’t like being ordered around and being expected to feel grateful that I’m allowed to spend my money in their shop.

I order online and no longer shop anywhere the staff have used Coronavirus as an excuse to bully.

feelingverylazytoday · 13/07/2020 15:20

No. I've been wearing a mask for a few weeks now, both in shops and on public transport. It doesn't bother me and I can't see what the fuss is about, apart from a few people with autism, breathing difficulties, etc.
I hate shopping online so I'll stick to the high street.

Carlislemumof4 · 13/07/2020 15:21

No, I won't consider going to the high street until face coverings are made mandatory and there's a high percentage uptake of customers and staff wearing them. The shops I'd be visiting there are generally smaller and less airy than my usual supermarket with narrower aisles.

verybritishproblems · 13/07/2020 15:21

...but definitely CBA with going to a pub/restaurant and having to take it on and off or up and down between mouthfuls

Surely this isn’t expected? Shock

HeIenaDove · 13/07/2020 15:22

Yes For the reasons which ive already explained on this board.

WhoWants2Know · 13/07/2020 15:22

No, I would feel more relaxed, actually.
