Nothing much different here. I did go into my first local shop to buy a birthday gift for my dsis. It felt very strange to be in a shop.
Other than that I went to the supermarket and did my Saturday chores at home.

I popped into Next to get DD some shoes and wellies as she had completely grown out of them then popped to Sainsbury to get a few bits

Reader1984 · 04/07/2020 20:48

Took DD to the playground Grin

wintertravel1980 · 04/07/2020 20:50

Went out for lunch with DH and DD. The restaurant was fully booked. The meal was great.

Spent the afternoon in a playground with DD while DH went shopping. The place was relatively busy but it didn't feel crowded.

Now we are back home. DD is in bed and DH and I are about to have dinner.

Boring. But then I'm from the infamous 'plague' city of Leicester Wink
Feel like I'm more trapped then ever!!! Confused

TeaAndHobnob · 04/07/2020 20:53

Spring cleaned the front room. Washed the sofa covers and curtains, wiped down paintwork, threw away a load of crap that had accumulated on the shelves and replaced with some nice vases. Cleaned the windows and hoovered every nook and cranny.

It's lovely in there now. I even found some cushions I'd forgotten about in the chest in there and put them on the sofa. Just need my new blinds to arrive.

Rock and roll here Brew

Bootcamp via zoom in the garden. Spoke to my ds for nearly 2 hours on the phone.
That’s it.
We’re in Wales where things are being relaxed more slowly so no super Saturday here.

Sinkingfeeling · 04/07/2020 20:55

I’m a registrar and conducted two socially distanced weddings today. I also drove past several pubs by the river looking very busy. I didn’t go to the hairdresser but wish I had! Blush

LadyCatStark · 04/07/2020 20:57

DS’s BMXing was back for the first time. He loved it but it was hammering it down! Then we went to some friends and were allowed inside 😃. We got a takeaway and have just got home.

sonypony · 04/07/2020 20:58

Took the kids to the play park. It was absolutely lovely Smile

tinytemper66 · 04/07/2020 20:58

In Wales so just went food shopping and stayed in the rest of the day.

CatBatCat · 04/07/2020 20:59

I cleaned my home office, swept out the front of the house, cleaned the front door and step. Electrician. Was round to fit a new shower, had a shower in the new shower. Piston seals arrived in the post so I fixed the brakes on my bike. Planted the kale and some spinach, made some sandwiches for tomorrows bike ride and now I'm playing lasers with the cat.

We were going to meet friends in a park, but they suggested going to an outlet park by water. Didn't buy anything as couldn't try on and too far to ideally return. However, we did have coffee and cake outside under a cafe canopy by water. We found two tables ideal for SD with our friends and chatting. The people who ended up sitting on table behind us were certainly within a meter so couldn't quite relax.

Hoping to try our local pub as it's got character and good food next week as we really want to support it. Fingers crossed it'll be ok as it's something we would really miss and visit 2/3 times month for a drink or food

ResumetonormalASAP · 04/07/2020 21:02

Was going to drive to the coast in Devon or Cornwall but thought it would be busy and weather not great so stayed home

Bargebill19 · 04/07/2020 21:04

As normal here. We went to work, I came home and did the housework and laundry.
But I did have a sausage sandwich for lunch which is not normal. Does that count?

CeeJay81 · 04/07/2020 21:05

I'm in Wales, so no changes here. Had work, so no different from most Saturdays. We wouldn't have gone anywhere though even if I didn't. We've had dreadful weather and it's pissed it down much of the day.

Candyfloss99 · 04/07/2020 21:06

@starrynight19 thanks. Not feeling too good but will hopefully improve soon. Hope everyone else enjoys what they are doing.

Thingybobbyboo · 04/07/2020 21:12

I’m SW by the coast. Busier here but not crazy. Quite nice really. Went out for a lovely meal with a view of the sea. No crowds yet, I think it might be more crowded when the sun comes out!

TheUnquestionedAnswer · 04/07/2020 21:13

Went into town and it was really busy. Wetherspoons had loads of drunkish people outside. Didn't stay around long as there were too many people so swerved the big stores. Popped to have a walk round park earlier and Sainsbury's on the way back, and there were hoards of people clearly been on the booze all day....lots were carrying take out booze, lots were walking around with their plastic pint glasses, drinking as they walked. Heavy police presence. Lots of noise and saw a bloke pissing in side road. Let's hope they all remember to keep their distance after a skin full.

Cheesypea · 04/07/2020 21:13

Met friend in town had lasagne in an empty cafe. Then watched a load of broadchurch. Currently lying under a duvet. Hair cut tomorrow. Used lockdown to grow out an asymetric pixie.

Number3or4 · 04/07/2020 21:14

Dh went to his barber and I took the dc to the park. The playground was closed but they didn’t know it was due to open (I wanted to surprise them) but the council must have either changed their mind or locked it up before lunchtime. Dc enjoyed using their scooters.

Someone1987 · 04/07/2020 21:17

Walked into town with my seven month old and there were sirens over and over again and a group of drunk men shouting and swearing walking by. Then a kind old man offered to walk with me past them! Which was so sweet.

whereistherum · 04/07/2020 21:17

For some reason our councils haven't opened any of our local playgrounds, so we stayed in and sorted Lego.

On his way home from work, DP walked past the local pub which had 3 police cars outside it, so other people were out and about and having a great time
