I’ve got ‘covid exposure logging’ available as a setting but it’s turned off. You need an actual app that uses it before it does anything. This won’t be why you’ve run out of storage space.

It only works if you have also installed an app for tracking covid, and we don’t have one of those in the Uk. As far as I can see just another bit of Operating software like Location tracking that comes with the phone but you decide whether to use or not. Lots of my apps know where I am. I’m really not bothered.

Yes it's on mine as well (albeit currently switched off). I didn't ever give my phone permission to install this though, and if Apple can install it without my knowledge, I'm sure they can switch it on without my say-so. Will it work if my phone is set to flight mode while I'm out and about?

There isn’t a ‘tracker’ that ‘they’ have added to your phone! It’s an update to Apple and Google operating systems so that if you download an app in the future it’ll work on your phone.
