Little things matter at a time when nothing is normal. What little thing brightens your day and is getting you through this?

Maybe your 'little thing' will be a fantastic new idea for someone else and we can all be cheered up a bit.

Crochet

Having time to bake properly instead of chucking everything in a bowl in a mad hurry. Not good for my waistline - can't even find it now!

Microwave chocolate brownie with giant caramel filled buttons pushed into it, sliced when cool, then frozen. Eat from frozen. Lush.

Alcohol dogs horse husband son - in alphabetical order 😅

Germolenequeen · 12/06/2020 20:03

That was meant to say not in that order 🤣

Love having kids and hubby home. Fry's chocolate, food, running, baking cakes with my kids, watering my newly planted veg, reading, listening to music, workouts every morning, Nutella and Biscoff spread Blush long baths, and long country walks in the evening with hubby ( and sometimes kids when we can persuade them). The most amazing vlog about a lovely woman called Stephanie who bought a chateau in France and has been doing it up for the last few years. She is a ray of sunshine and has loads of interesting family and friends. Her chateau is stunning and her knowledge of interiors, art, music, food etc is amazing. She's an Oxford graduate, trained opera singer and bon viveur. I could watch her all day and I look forward to her new episodes more than anything else: www.youtube.com/channel/UCyqPuqFXuAP5GMwRNFg5hpA

Fortunately podcast with Fi and Jane. It has literally kept me sane. I hide in the garden pretending to water my strawberry plants for an hour just so I can listen to it. My strawberry plants are a few in an orange plastic bucket.,... I don't know what I would do without their podcast x

My Pilates studio has 11 Zoom classes a week so I've been doing it most days which has been great and has really helped my back and firmed up my bum!

Got Virgin Wine deliveries, gorgeous wine.

Long phone calls with friends

Making delicious food

On FB, a DJ did discos from his home every Saturday night which was brilliant.

And literally just feeling grateful to be healthy and alive every day

And of course, Mumsnet!

I bought I myself a Nintendo switch lite and Animal Crossing. I feel like a real important business woman checking the price of turnips twice a day.

A daily frothy coffee.
One very kind mn gave me a new dolce gusto machine at the start of lockdown and I've used it every day. She delivered it to me too, I'm very grateful for her generosity.
