PMQs followed by the briefing. BoJo cunningly consolidating all his work into one weekday again. Wonder what compliant scientist they’ll wheel out for the afternoon.

*Starmer moans and moans and moans

Glad to hear it. I mean basically that's his job as leader of the opposition right? To pull the government up on what they're doing wrong. He's hardly going to be giving out stickers and participation awards, it's not his job to mollycoddle the opposition or to amuse the public. That's where we've gone wrong with BoJo we have the class clown leading the country

FliesandPies · 10/06/2020 17:46

245 more deaths - and apparently that is something to be proud of according to Johnson

jasjas1973 · 10/06/2020 18:27

Our economy will be the worst performing of ALL major economic countries as we (hopefully) come out of this Pandemic, though there is still time for Johnson to fuck that up as well.

Johnsons defence on deaths is "its too early to tell" i get that but either way we aren't suddenly going to go from the worlds worst to mid ranking.

He pissed around in mid March by advising us not to go to the pub and in doing so, has cost 1000s of lives & caused further damage to the economy.

No surprise for any of this though, he is morally bankrupt and a fool, he thinks he is a latter day Churchill but the reality is he is more Charlie Chaplain.

Tiktokcringeydance · 10/06/2020 18:30

This would explain how he thinks opening schools for 2 days a week (for certain year groups) is going to be helpful for loads of people to get to work

Eve · 10/06/2020 18:35

to add to my general misery about the shitshow that is this government - someone sent this to me.

Slothsarecreepy · 10/06/2020 18:37

This reminds me of an intellectually challenged friend who thought bin men only worked one day a week because he only saw them on a Tuesday collecting his rubbish.

strugglingwithdeciding · 10/06/2020 19:37

Yes because there's no other work going on , even if you don't like or support the man you actually have no idea what else is being worked on or how many meetings , phone calls etc he has

strugglingwithdeciding · 10/06/2020 19:38

Starmer coming across ok but also hasn't hit a clue moaning schools shouldn't be going back then moaning they should
Can't have it both ways

KeepWashingThoseHands · 10/06/2020 19:39

Don't worry he is "personally" very involved in getting flights back on track for summer holidays and to Dubai and Sydney (apparently).

Not sure about anyone else but I'll sleep better tonight knowing that.

saveeno · 10/06/2020 19:48

I don't think it makes any difference TBH. The less we see of him the better.

As others have said, he is spending his time in darkened rooms with Cummings to try and outfox the EU and emerge in a post Colonial Utopia. Free at last.

He couldn't care less about Covid. But I think he had a breakdown not Covid anyway, and is self caring now, with due respect to anyone who broke during this awful time in UK history also. It is unreal.

StayAlert · 10/06/2020 19:57

Keir starmer has been great at PMQs and in the media in trying to hold the government to account. Boris, by comparison, comes across as waffling and ill informed, trotting our the same old sound-bites whatever he's asked about.

I didn't vote labour last time it definitely would if KS is still in charge.

BackInTime · 10/06/2020 20:26

The Tories are aware that the more the public see of Boris the clearer it becomes how incompetent he is. He is useless without the backing of his rent a mob panto crowd of MPs braying behind him which under the current very serious circumstances is really not appropriate. Kier Starmer mentioned his rehearsed lines today and it is pretty obvious he has nothing much to offer, it was thought last week that her had an earpiece for assistance.

vera99 · 10/06/2020 20:31

Oh well a clown was voted in and then a 100-year pandemic which he gets and then Brexit and then the ex SAGE Prof says 25k deaths could have been avoided and he has (another) baby and we face the greatest peacetime recession/depression. But apart from that, all's good.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY - summer's cancelled.

jasjas1973 · 10/06/2020 20:37

Starmer coming across ok but also hasn't hit a clue moaning schools shouldn't be going back then moaning they should

No he hasn't, KS has asked for the plan about how education can be delivered, which we still do not know,
It should be forgotten that Williamson proposed that the new QE aircraft carrier patrol the S. china seas, so we can show China we mean business, he was also sacked for lying to the then PM May.

BJ announced "Some Primary schools will return on 15/6" but hadn't considered his own Govt's social distancing rules.... which is what you would expect from a "i'm not a details man" Sorry but details are vital, never more so than in a Pandemic.

Weetam68 · 10/06/2020 21:08

This guy looks absolutely terrified, does not believe in what he is doing and is quite obviously barely functioning.

Some one has put the frighteners on him. It is as plain as day.

Noextremes2017 · 10/06/2020 21:20

It is a shame Corbyn was so arrogant to hold onto the labour leadership when it was obvious to everyone except him that he was unelectable.

A lot of people thought Johnson was the least bad option and, knowing he had no ability to grasp detail, just hoped he would have some reasonable people around him to actually run the country.

Unfortunately the people around him are just yes men (Raab/Sunak); idiots (Hancock); or just ignorant vile individuals (Patel). They are never going to stick their heads above the parapet and challenge the latest vague mumblings spewed out by Johnson as a substitute for a coherent policy. And the basis of the mumblings is largely planted by Cummings who nobody voted for.

Furthermore I bet they are all secretly jumping for joy over the economic chaos CV-19 will cause because it gives them cover to complete a 'no deal' Brexit and the negative consequences of that will be blamed on the virus.

vera99 · 10/06/2020 22:03

We are on a fully laden jumbo jet, running out of fuel with a drunken captain who is trying to learn to fly over a crowded metropolitan area. Assume the brace postion.

Exactly. He can’t speak in a coherent sentence unless he’s reading off a piece of paper. He’s an utterly useless, dangerous idiot.

AgeLikeWine · 10/06/2020 22:13

When you elect a clown, you get a circus.

KenDodd · 10/06/2020 22:18

Still, less time for him to call people racist names.

GreyGardens88 · 10/06/2020 22:28

@strugglingwithdeciding

Yes because there's no other work going on , even if you don't like or support the man you actually have no idea what else is being worked on or how many meetings , phone calls etc he has
You sound very naive
strugglingwithdeciding · 10/06/2020 23:48

@GreyGardens88 I'm hardly nievr I could actually say that about you if you think pmq and covid are all he is in charge of at the moment ,

B1rdbra1n · 10/06/2020 23:50

you get a circus
Yer but... We thought he was just pretending, we thought he was a proper grown-up person pretending to be a clown😳
Is that so wrong of us 😳

strugglingwithdeciding · 10/06/2020 23:51

@jasjas no he was clear in saying he felt it was too early to send schools back and now composing that they won't be back
But then he needs to start working more as well as obviously he must only work once a week or so when he appears on pmq and odd other occasion as none of them work behind the scenes or does it only work one way
People on here are childish you don't have to like or agree with Boris Johnson but to say he only works one day a week is pretty ludicrous
