Here it is - we are still slightly outraged

Good on the journos. Boris needs to know this hasn't gone despite telling everyone to move on.

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:42

yeah what about the loo. I could pee in my parents garden pond but the Koi Carp might object.

How will this work for people with conditions like Crohns.

Or as in my case..............an overactive bladder.

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:42

Did Boris just say .................we are not at that stage yet to that journo

OMFG

HT96 · 28/05/2020 17:44

A friends boyfriend tested positive last week, very mild symptoms in his 20's, he has been out on the piss most nights and having Dinner at friends homes 🤦🏻‍♀️ pointless with idiots like him.

Inkpaperstars · 28/05/2020 17:44

Oh yes, people are always incredibly scrupulous and careful after a few drinks at a BBQ

SouthWestmom · 28/05/2020 17:44

Went quiet. Was Whitty speaking and then it went to a question on CDC and symptoms

Can I just clarfuvmy thinking?

If the R is between 0.7 and 0.9, then allowing people to meet in gardens etc, is not based on scientific evidence?

Is my thinking flawed?

Happygirl79 · 28/05/2020 17:48

PM will not allow the medics eg Chris Whitty to answer any questions about Cummings
He actually smirked at one of the reporters after he had tried to get a response from the medics
Boris is a very rude man
He said the Cummings matter is closed

AlovelybitofsquirrelJackie · 28/05/2020 17:48

Another killer question from the Belfast chap

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 17:49

Ooh Bastardised. Bet Boris sphincter is clutching like the clappers.

minou123 · 28/05/2020 17:49

*clarify my

Happygirl79 · 28/05/2020 17:49

He is acting more like a dictator than a PM

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:49

Whitty and Valance are saving this.

Honesty, real integrity in the scientific message, clear messaging and clear points of what ifs.

JackiFazaki · 28/05/2020 17:49

Sam the Belfast Newsletter (?) giving a good go re R number over there and Cummings.

itsgettingweird · 28/05/2020 17:52

Boris literally does not seem to understand why the Cummings clause will not must go away.

And that presser seemed to indicate to me he really doesn't actually listen to the scientists. And I don't mean listen as in hear the words - but listen as in the message.

He's just "confident"

minou123 · 28/05/2020 17:52

Never mind, Sam has asked my question.
Roussette · 28/05/2020 17:52

I missed that bit, what did Belfast chap ask, could someone tell me?

Roussette · 28/05/2020 17:53

What really concerns me is...

Is Boris throwing us a bone... have a bbq, see your loved ones, to make us move on from Cummings.

334 deaths today, that's a lot.

Roussette · 28/05/2020 17:55

I agree a different tone from the scientists than fro BoJo. Which leads me to believe Boris is trying to shut us up.
The R rate hasn't moved. The number of cases a day is high still

user1495884620 · 28/05/2020 17:57

Is Boris throwing us a bone... have a bbq, see your loved ones, to make us move on from Cummings.

Those were my thoughts exactly.

Lucywilde · 28/05/2020 17:58

Not very much optimism from the scientists and I’m more interested in what they have to say. Deaths still are too high, it’s still spreading but sadly too many people will use Boris’s comments to go out much more. DC has destroyed the message completely.

minou123 · 28/05/2020 17:58

@Roussette

I missed that bit, what did Belfast chap ask, could someone tell me?
He said in NI where the R number is very close to 1, should people be concerned about that?

And then he asked that as BJ is basterdising (sp??) the health message why he cant accept criticism

Nquartz · 28/05/2020 17:59

It definitely sounds like the science side want to keep us cautious whereas BoJo is trying to distract us.

JackiFazaki · 28/05/2020 18:01

Roussette
Belfast man had a go about Cummings not being sacked, and that the R number in NI was near 1, despite this, BJ relaxing the rules. BJ flagged the Science answer up to be answered first, and then it all ended very abruptly.

HeIenaDove · 28/05/2020 18:04

Got my local news on.............Anglia

Bloke has been waiting 24 days for his test result. Fucking shambles.
