After a campaign of fear when they wanted us to stay in, they now want us back o work and school so sad I predicted, the good news stories and it’s safe stories are becoming prevalent. I was told ‘they don’t print good news stories’. There are many ways to brainwash convince the public get to do what you want

Would love to be a paid poster.

Send a 12 foot shape shifting lizard round with instructions and I'll post on whatever you want.

Please don't send any electronic communications though. Remember 5G. THEY are watching.

InfiniteSheldon · 24/05/2020 21:09

I voted Leave and have given my reasons learnt not to again and have posted in support of putting your child first as guidelines allowed can I have my money please? In fact an I have £1 for every time some tinfoil hatted idiot on here has called me a paid poster/Tory bot I'll be rich.

Spillinteas · 24/05/2020 21:14

Yes, a good way to spot a ‘paid poster’ is if their opinion doesn’t tally with yours. If it’s different they’re obviously being paid by some very organised yet shadowy group who believes Mumsnet drives general public opinion Grin

I got accused of being a ‘paid poster to the other day Grin

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:16

I work in digital marketing.

On board as influential as Mumsnet?

You bet there will be bots/paid posters...

SuckingDieselFella · 24/05/2020 21:17

Are paid posters the same people who do chemtrails and wind up the birds?

We should be told.

Bluntness100 · 24/05/2020 21:18

Op your opinion doesn’t tally with mine, are you being paid?

Anyway is that a thing? Here’s me doing it for free too,,so naive.🤣

Drivingdownthe101 · 24/05/2020 21:20

I feel like I’m missing a massive trick here. I disagree with the OP, I think our children need to go back to school and NOONE IS PAYING ME! I could cry at all the lost income.

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:20

Anyway is that a thing?

Yes it is.

Here’s me doing it for free too,,so naive.🤣

Whatever you say.

Bluntness100 · 24/05/2020 21:21

You think I’m a paid poster? 🤣

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:22

FWIW I don't think anyone would use bots to change opinion on schools. Seems a bit like cracking a nut with a sledgehammer. But trying to silence the conversation about Cummings? Absolutely.

Judiwench · 24/05/2020 21:22

Bluntness100 so thats why you're always hanging around!

SusieOwl4 · 24/05/2020 21:22

Why are the hypocrites in the press allowed to break every social distancing rule in the book outside Dominic Cummings house ?

Jowl to cheek they jostle to take photos of a man who did not actually go into his parents home .,

Two wrongs don’t make a right .

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:22

You think I’m a paid poster? 🤣

Where did I say that? Confused

SuckingDieselFella · 24/05/2020 21:25

There's a crowd of protestors outside Cummings house and they aren't social distancing either.

Just saying.

I'll say anything you want if you £££££ me. I'll even wind up the birds.

SuckingDieselFella · 24/05/2020 21:26

@TossaCointoYerWitcher

This comment does suggest you think she is a paid poster.

"Here’s me doing it for free too,,so naive.🤣

Whatever you say."

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:28

@SuckingDieselFella Well, apologies, didn't mean it that way. Meant it in the spirit of "well, if you choose not to believe such a thing occurs, well that's up to you".

SuckingDieselFella · 24/05/2020 21:34

Ok.

Send a lizard round with a cheque and all will be forgiven.

He'll know the address. Wink

Serendipper · 24/05/2020 21:36

I’m amazed so many think there’s no “influencers” on here, someones spin dr is missing a huge trick if that’s the case

AnyOldPrion · 24/05/2020 21:37

No idea about paid posters on Mumsnet, but it’s not that crazy.

I’m on Twitter, which I know is a cesspit, but the last couple of days some things have occurred which strongly suggest the platform is being manipulated.

The hashtags “DominicCummings” “Dominic” and “Cummings” never made it to trending status. Misspelt versions of all those hashtags did make it onto the list. There is no way this was not deliberate, and the suggestions made that the surname was the cause do not hold up as the hashtag without it was absent too.

And for the first time ever on my timeline, three of those defensive statements by senior government figures appeared high on my timeline. That despite the fact I follow none of them, only one or two people in my network has liked them, and I follow very few political people in general.

If they are manipulating Twitter, and Cummings himself instigated an illegal Facebook campaign attached to “Leave” then I think we have to assume other influential platforms will also be targeted.

userxx · 24/05/2020 21:37

You can see all the paid posters on here too, pushing the same line.

Lockdown induced paranoia.

TossaCointoYerWitcher · 24/05/2020 21:39

*Ok.

He'll know the address. wink*

Whatever.

Strangely enough, people who work in the construction industry know that using JCBs is a viable option if you have the resources. Funny that.

BigChocFrenzy · 24/05/2020 21:40

Any lizard being paid to defend Cummings is doing a crap job so far

SuckingDieselFella · 24/05/2020 21:41

Are you threatening to send a JCB to my house?

This is getting even nuttier.

BigChocFrenzy · 24/05/2020 21:41

Maybe Cummings is a lizard ?

Andante57 · 24/05/2020 21:42

In fact an I have £1 for every time some tinfoil hatted idiot on here has called me a paid poster/Tory bot I'll be rich.

Yes - there are lots of vocal Labour supporters on mn but for some reasons it’s only conservatives on here who are accused of being paid bots.
If the Tory party pays bots then why shouldn’t Labour.
