This is really awful, are people going to put up with this?
I wonder how the people in those "red wall" seats that got him the big majority feel about it? Some of them must be very badly affected by the lockdown.

TwentyViginti · 24/05/2020 17:35

Just proves that BJ is DC puppet, I would love to know what DC has on BJ to have this hold over him. Hopefully this will split the Tories & bring about their doom.
^^^
I hope investigative journos are all over this for as long as it takes. As to the Tories downfall - we can but hope!

GiraffeWithSwag · 24/05/2020 17:35

Bet he’s glad of a PPE question!!! Bet this will be the last question of the session....

JamieLeeCurtains · 24/05/2020 17:36

Young woman - great questions there

Anyone catch her name?

fishfingersandtrashtv · 24/05/2020 17:36

Unbelievable Boris J. not answering the question - how come one set of rules applies to Dominic C. and another to the general public? The level of facetiousness is infuriating!
I have spent lockdown on the verge of a nervous breakdown, with my child suffering 2 fevers, 2 bouts of self isolation, struggling to get anyone to deliver food to our house and I did not travel 20 miles to my mother in law for childcare at any point.
I guess, Boris J., all rules are subject to interpretation.
Also, disgusting how "childcare" and the needs of a 4 year old are being used to pull at emotional heartstrings and elicit empathy.
Not from me.

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/05/2020 17:36

35 mins of waffle. I love how Bozo reacted to the guy with the beard and ginger hair. It was like get him the fuck off the screen, he’s making too much sense.

Whattodowhattodooo · 24/05/2020 17:36

Vote of no confidence anyone?????

Mummyoflittledragon · 24/05/2020 17:36

Yes, vote of no confidence.

ssd · 24/05/2020 17:37

He's not answering anything. And it's annoying him getting asked all these silly questions about his pal.

And he wanted to come here today to tell us all this, not because he should be there as he's PM, but because he wanted to stick up for his pal.

He's glad to go back to furlough tomorrow fuck this for a game of soldiers.

Can't decide if I'm watching a news conference or an extract from Alan Bennett's latest play.

Unshriven · 24/05/2020 17:37

He can do as he likes really though.

What are people going to do? Protest? Write petitions?

The 'pepole' have no ability to force his hand one way or another.

It's a money and power thing.

dancinguser · 24/05/2020 17:37

Boris has had enough - not even bothering to thank the reporters now before passing the questions across.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/05/2020 17:37

I've never seen anything as disgraceful as this in my 58 years. I am utterly disgusted. This is shameless stuff.

Downbutnotoutyet · 24/05/2020 17:38

I very rarely post but I feel physically sick listening to the nonsense being spouted I felt compelled to. How dare they treat the citizens of this country as fools! How dare they make out what he did was because he was a caring parent. I am actually shaking with rage.

FliesandPies · 24/05/2020 17:38

"I believe that in every respect he has acted responsibly and legally and with integrity and with the overwhelming aim of stopping the spread of the virus and saving lives.”

That is the exact opposite of the way he acted - it's throwing a bucket of bullshit in the public's face and telling them to fuck off.

JamieLeeCurtains · 24/05/2020 17:39

Me neither, @Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

SistemaAddict · 24/05/2020 17:39

Dogs with a bone. Bet he was sweating cobs 😂 I gave up watching as it was torture .

Howaboutanewname · 24/05/2020 17:39

Did BJ really just say he understood childcare problems DC may have faced? Jesus wept. Absent father of many knows all about childcare. What a twat.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 24/05/2020 17:39

I am so angry I could spit. I can't see my parents for months and months and I accept that because keeping them safe is my top priority. Cummings puts other people's health and wellbeing at risk and gets praised for it? What's he got on Johnson? I can't see any other explanation for this.

Francina670 · 24/05/2020 17:40

Can barely believe what I’ve just seen.

Surely can’t be any way back from this shit?

fishfingersandtrashtv · 24/05/2020 17:40

I don't want this to go away on another news cycle. I am writing to my MP etc etc whatever else I can do. They are counting on it just washing over with the next news story.

Newyorkhereicome · 24/05/2020 17:40

Seeing a really nasty side of Boris tonight ill tempered, arrogant, lying I mean I always found him nasty but the masked slipped tonight that is for sure

Usernamealreadyexists · 24/05/2020 17:41

Wow.
As a single mum in London with zero family nearby, I wish I used my fucking instinct and drove to my family 200 miles away weeks ago.
I can’t believe what I just witnessed from BJ.

Cam77 · 24/05/2020 17:41

Lock down officially over there - over to each member of the public and their "interpretation" of the rules. Of course, this is what the Tory Party wanted from the get go - herd immunity strategy + back to work + getting to blame the public whenever things go tits up.
Vote Tory!

midsomermurderess · 24/05/2020 17:41

That didn't go well, and you could see it in his shifty, piggy little eyes at the end that he knows it didn't go well.
