Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

Thank you for getting back to us when you're so tired @Egghead68 . I hope today hasn't taken too much out of you and you get a good night's sleep.

Moodgie · 02/06/2020 20:19

Those who are on slack, are there recovery stories there of people who were long like us and finally shifted it???

Meercatmama · 02/06/2020 20:28

Good evening
Thank you for all those who mentioned me in posts today. I worked from home today and got through the day. I am very tired and will be going to bed early tonight. Have ached in my back all day and this evening my armpits hurt again and had what I describe as a hot flush but it lasted a bit longer, also a cough at times again Got another full day tomorrow with two teams meetings as well as working at home to put work up for the children and answer queries from the parents. Just hope I sleep well tonight. Husband two weeks behind has had a day when he has felt very tired and breathless so he has taken things very easy and is already asleep. I am not sure how I am going to cope when I am back full time in the classroom. I hope all of you have a restful night

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 20:30

@Moodgie they're all quite long like us. Glancing just now there seem to be a few week 11 recoveries. I'm on week 13 though 😭

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 20:32

Gosh you sound like you have a very busy day tomorrow @Meercatmama . Hope it goes okay and take care.

Moodgie · 02/06/2020 20:37

@fedupofbed I’m the same week as you. There are full recoveries there though, are there? Please say yes.

Crayfishforyou · 02/06/2020 20:48

@Moodgie yes there are, not just feeling better days but properly better, 10000 steps a day better and runners and stuff.

That’s the only reason I’m on it really. Some of the other stuff can be a bit scary. The 90 day channel I tend to leave well alone, even though I’m going to surpass that 😂

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 20:50

@Moodgie there's a real mix. People who are measuring victory in terms of smaller relapses/longer times inbetween, lots who are almost there but with lingering symptoms, and full recoveries. Are you not tempted to join?

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 20:54

Yeah, 90 days plus is a barrel of fun, and the neurological channel, omg!

Moodgie · 02/06/2020 20:58

What’s the 90 day channel, is it scary? Or is it about ‘just’ having symptoms that long? @fedupofbed @Crayfishforyou

Kitcat122 · 02/06/2020 20:59

@Moodgie just how I am feeling, like I'm never going to get better.

@Egghead68 fingers crossed for your test.

Moodgie · 02/06/2020 21:02

@Kitcat122 it’s the breathing/windpipe thing. The days when it’s almost normal, I feel hope, and then there are times when it’s off again and I’m just down.

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 21:03

@fedupofbed aye, I'm with @Moodgie, are the 90 dayers talking about continued symptoms?

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 21:06

@Moodgie it's for people to vent/ask questions/share info/get support if you've had symptoms over 90 days. It's supportive but some people are very distressed/ desperate, there's a lot of in-depth medical information and sometimes I find it a bit too much for my fragile state if mind!

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 21:06

@Moodgie Once again that is how I feel... My symptoms have mostly been gastric. @fedupofbed please tell me the 90 dayers are not experiencing "new" symptoms??

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 21:14

To be honest @AndsLee I'm still experiencing new symptoms... the numb face thing only properly kicked in last week! And the dodgy windpipe is quite new for me too. I can't think what's left for me to experience now.

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 21:23

@fedupofbed

See, my lungs and chest haven't been as sore as my stomach. I haven't had a cough. I suppose to clarify, at this stage, surely a new system/organ wouldn't be attacked?

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 21:29

@AndsLee I haven't read too much of the 90 days thread but what I have read does seem to be more continuation of symptoms and I'm certainly not aware of anyone who has been struck down severely at this late stage. I would hope not!

Kitcat122 · 02/06/2020 21:36

@Moodgie its breathing and windpipe for me too. This has been my constant symptom with shortness of breath so I feel your pain.

pinkoneblueone · 02/06/2020 21:46

Have those of you with windpipe issue tried gavisgon and hot water with ginger in it to ease this as i found it was related to GERD which the virus has brought on.

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 21:49

@pinkoneblueone

I think it's GERD related too. Well. Sometimes GERD, sometimes allergy type symptoms...

Needsomegoodies · 02/06/2020 21:56

Hi all, hope you’re all doing ok. I’ve had a pretty good few days (11 weeks today) shortness of breath much improved, chest pain only occasional, heart rate more consistent. I’ve been able to work from home, do stuff with the kids and manage 5000-10000 steps per day (only walking, still can’t do more than walk).

However, between feeling almost normal I’m now getting random other things. Twice in the last 4 days I’ve got a weird rash on my thighs. Looks like it could be a heat rash but I’ve never had heat rash in my life and normally do well in heat. I’ve also had spells of shakey hands/fingers when trying to work on my laptop. I also still get lightheaded and palpitations. It almost feels like my body’s ability to regulate is off.

Had a follow up chest X-ray yesterday to see if infection seen at week 6 has gone, which would be good to know. Won’t get results for a few days though.

Needsomegoodies · 02/06/2020 21:57

Also updated my username from needsomegoodnews as that was starting to feel defeatist!!

PrimalLass · 02/06/2020 22:08

I've just found this thread. Symptoms started mid March. Was reading regularly in April but felt better for most of May. I'm going through a real phase of the waking up with a fright feeling like I can't breathe. My soft palette feels really swollen. I'd assumed it was all thyroid related but maybe not.

So while I'm not happy that anyone else has had this, I'm relieved that there's maybe some sort of explanation.

A lemsip at night seems to help and I bought snore strips to see if that would make a difference.

Thanks everyone for sharing your symptoms.

PrimalLass · 02/06/2020 22:10

Almost everything mentioned here I've googled at some point over the last 3 months.
