Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

@crayfishforyou and others...

Is anyone else experiencing vascular symptoms? In the last round I had bloodshot eyes and a couple of very weird bruises. This time my eyes are more bloodshot, I'm seeing some blood vessels pop up, I think my tongue (?) is bleeding. Bit of blood from my nose...

Crayfishforyou · 02/06/2020 17:06

@AndsLee
I don’t know, I’m not entirely sure what the symtoms to vasculitis is. I was quite veiny before, and I’m pale anyway so it’s always easy to see them. My eyes have been bloodshot from day one, that’s how I started in this nightmare. They’re red now because I think I’ve got hayfever.

Lightsabre · 02/06/2020 17:34

@AndsLee, I think you should discuss those symptoms with your GP. You may need some further tests.

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 17:39

@Lightsabre

I gave my GP a list of symptoms. Not interested...

ofwarren · 02/06/2020 18:14

@crayfishforyou
Thanks for that image. Makes sense as to why I'm getting certain symptoms at this point.
Whereabouts is this Slack group? I've never heard of slack.

ofwarren · 02/06/2020 18:20

A slightly better day for me
Tiredness and headaches have gone.
Still aching a lot and I'm getting this throat tickle and my tongue tastes funny, like it did at the start which is unnerving.
A bit of lung pain which I can't tell if it's coming from acid or my actual lungs.
Lots of bloating too, even though I'm not having heavy carbs or sugars.
Anxiety about the symptoms.

pinkoneblueone · 02/06/2020 18:37

I have had super spotty scalp for about 2 weeks now. am I alone in this? I’m finding if the spot Is over a vein it is causing a headache. So I have had headaches for about 4 days. I am on day 86 now.

Crayfishforyou · 02/06/2020 18:39

@ofwarren here is a link to join
docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScM2EeJhgisTUdo5Op6euyx1PYu8O-aNeDVYhXuPFa_Gs9PnQ/viewform

It’s basically a support group with lots of channels, I really only follow the victories channel now as I just want to hear success stories!

Today I’ve mainly felt completely wiped out, I’ve felt very faint and weird on occasion. My blood pressure is 102/67 so pretty low. A few days ago it was higher, only just normal. Hmm
I can deep breathe today, my stomach is gurgling like crazy again. I thought that had gone.
I’m just exhausted by all of it, it will never end and these scary symptoms will continue until I’m ground down to nothingness. I feel like the Neverending Story except the nothing is inside.

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 18:40

@ofwarren glad you've had a slightly better day today, but sorry those random symptoms are still there. The slack group people keep talking about is an international covid support group for those with long running symptoms. It's done a lot to raise awareness of our situation. I find it useful but have to be in the right frame of mind to read it as it can make me anxious too! There's a thread on it called Victories that rather unsurprisingly I go to a lot. Here is a link with more info:

@AndsLee your doctor sounds appalling!

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 18:43

We cross posted @Crayfishforyou !

I'm sorry you're yet again having another horrible day. I completely empathise, and I too can't feel an end to it. Currently struggling with my breathing again.

ofwarren · 02/06/2020 18:49

Thanks.
The anxiety is the worst. I'm shielding my son and I'm so worried that when I felt bad it the start, it was something other that covid and the current symptoms are the real deal.
I can't get a swab as I don't drive and my GP won't give me an antibody test. I was going to purchase one but I've heard they have been recalled.

Whatnext2018 · 02/06/2020 18:58

Thanks for the image @Crayfishforyou it’s really interesting.

@fedupofbed
Did your doctor say the face numbness was a symptom? I’ve had for almost three weeks now, was starting to get very paranoid.

Loss of feeling in hands last couple of days and feeling strange/dizzy/hot after I eat so am having to split meals into smaller sections, really odd.

Still palpitations on waking in the morning, but heart rate seems to have calmed in the last couple of days, also less diarrhea but some nausea.

Kitcat122 · 02/06/2020 19:01

Hi everyone I'm still in my dip 😢. Was feeling great for 2 weeks so started walking my running route. Felt good, lung capacity seemed to improve each day then last Wednesday started with the burning chest sensation I had at the beginning, then got sob now sore throat and glands in neck and under arms are up. Week 11. There really is no end. Starting back at work full time tomorrow 😩

ofwarren · 02/06/2020 19:05

@KitCat122 it's a major problem that there is nothing out there to show employers that people aren't getting better after 2 weeks!
Would your doctor give you a sick note do you think?

AndsLee · 02/06/2020 19:08

@LetsBeSensible
That's a useful diagram. I had been thinking the painful glands bit is viral. Perhaps not. I'm still agonising about my lovely man coming home. Last thing I want is for him to take this...
The laugh is, if I were overly anxious (and I was at the beginning), I would have no doubt had him here by now... #justsayinGP

pinkoneblueone · 02/06/2020 19:09

My boss is questioning how we have been worse off than she was? I am due back on the 15th and don’t feel ready yet. I do have some good news symptoms do start to ease off from 12 weeks I do still rest ALOT I am doing very little and keeping watch on my heart rate. Despite my headaches I have noticed a big improvement. Worst issue now is the gastric issues I am awaiting delivery of @stayathomegardener’s magic medicine as our usual milky probiotic hasn’t helped.

Kitcat122 · 02/06/2020 19:19

@ofwarren my doctor thinks going to work is fine. I think she thinks I am just fussing. She is very pleasant but doesn't really sound overly interested. Annoying considering if she bothered to look at my records she would see I have only been to the doctors in the last 20 years for either contraception or pregnancy.

LetsBeSensible · 02/06/2020 19:31

Time to start turning the questions back on people, people!
Yes, why is it that I’m still I’ll and you’re not, do you think? Of course, we’re both lucky to be alive, really.

Of course, I’m not just fussing, some people have died from this and it’s a new virus that’s never been studied so I’d think keeping in touch with the GP about the after effects is more necessary than ever, don’t you?

fedupofbed · 02/06/2020 19:33

@pinkoneblueone that's great to hear, progress! If you're not ready, could you get your sick leave extended?

@Whatnext2018 I can't remember exactly what my GP said exactly (terrible brain fog) but he certainly wasn't surprised at all when I told him about the numbness. He definitely didn't attribute it to anxiety, nor did he seem overly alarmed. But he didn't really give me a proper explanation that I understood either. Sorry! If it's still persistent in a couple of days I'll ask for another blood test and try and get more information. This was all over the phone. As he's not overly concerned, I'm trying not to worry too much.

@Moodgie I went back and emailed him about the throat. Again no real answers. He said it could be swollen glands but that should have gone 3 weeks after infection. He also suggested reflux but I'm sure it's not that as I have that too and this feels very different. It's an ongoing email conversation so I'll probably hear from him again tomorrow.

godhelpusall · 02/06/2020 19:33

Any sign of @Egghead68 and @MillStone from their appointments?

Moodgie · 02/06/2020 20:04

Who remembers the handles of the previous posters who were on the previous threads? I’d love to hear how they are and hopefully hear some recovery stories.
@worriesomedad
Anyone remembers others?

TiddleTaddleTat · 02/06/2020 20:07

@ofwarren you can get a home swab test via the same website , these sometimes say not available but if you are patient one should come up

godhelpusall · 02/06/2020 20:08

@Moodgie he is on slack under different name but he hasn't made much progress.

TiddleTaddleTat · 02/06/2020 20:09

I too would like there to be more information out there about the uneven recovery profiles of MANY people who have (suspected or confirmed) covid. I am signed off currently and trying to decide whether to return to remote work. Battling to justify recovery time in the face of so many questions about why I'm not better is absolutely exhausting

Egghead68 · 02/06/2020 20:13

Hi @godhelpusall! Thank you for asking after me. I am here but utterly drained after walking to my antibody test appointment and back (2miles). Doctor was very nice. Results in around 48 hours. She said around 20% covid cases may not test positive for IgG but the evidence is conflicting at the moment and we don’t really know much about the immune response. She said her patients are taking around 3 months to recover.

I hope everyone is OK. No energy to catch up at the moment.
