Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

HI all,
Up this morning with the numbness in mouth area again and sort of burning/tingling in hands..18 days of this now on and off. Also feel hot again, I feel like my it’s my nerves everywhere, what is this 😢
The Valerian tablets have helped a little with sleep and keeping calmer when the symptoms come, but they’re still there so I don’t think it’s just anxiety as the doc suggested. Still with the morning heart rate of 110-120 also.

MrsBennetsnerves · 01/06/2020 11:10

@Millstone I am on week 11 since having any covid-19 symptoms, but wasn't tested at the time so I self isolated. I started to feel better, then had some of the symptoms return in milder form in week 8. As I was reporting symptoms via the zoe app I was invited to take a swab test which was positive.

sleepwhenidie · 01/06/2020 11:36

Wow mrsbennett that contradicts all the theories about it being too long after infection to test Shock. DD has an appointment at urgent referral clinic tomorrow with paediatric consultant. I wonder if they will test her this time...she is on week 12 now.

MillStone · 01/06/2020 11:53

@MrsBennetsnerves

Wow, that’s interesting. Did they offer any follow up or speculation after you tested positive?

Do you think it was Covid 11 weeks ago?

godhelpusall · 01/06/2020 12:32

My daughters bloods are back- all normal but slightly raised B12. They say it's probably from taking vitamins but googling it suggests it could be liver/ kidney or related to blood clotting? I will have to make follow up appointment with gp. She still doesn't feel well.

Egghead68 · 01/06/2020 12:33

Wow @MrsBennetsnerves. Did you have some symptoms throughout much of that period or had you been well for weeks and then got ill again? Very interesting. Hope you are feeling OK now. I have heard theories about the test picking up “dead” virus.

fedupofbed · 01/06/2020 13:52

Day 93. Having a relapse day with palpitations, heart rate fluctuating and general heightened anxiety feeling again. Oh and a numb chin!

Just thought I'd pop on quickly to share my blood test results which finally arrived. CRP levels mildly raised, low on vitamin D and...

Antibody results negative.

In the accompanying letter the cardiologist concludes that it is really unlikely that I had covid. So just some other mystery virus doing the rounds with shortness of breath and fever then? I'd kind of expected this result because of all the anecdotal stuff I've heard but I find it unnerving that nothing seems to make sense.

@Moodgie good to hear that breathing is improving. I've recently started getting a tight windpipe feeling too.

godhelpusall · 01/06/2020 13:56

@MillStone when is the infectious disease dr? Let us know the outcome

MillStone · 01/06/2020 14:02

hey @godhelpusall sure will do, it’s tomorrow afternoon. Currently saving energy for the occasion.

I’ve written some notes to take along which after 9 weeks are quite lengthy.

LetsBeSensible · 01/06/2020 14:20

@fedupofbed the antibody test has a good rate of false negatives, but it does seem you caught the exactly-like-covid-virus that was circulating at the exact same time as covid. That seems much more likely. What are the chances eh!?!?

AndsLee · 01/06/2020 14:48

@godhelpusall ConfusedFlowers
@letsbesensible oh that virus? Aye I know the one well...Grin
@Lightsabre have a wee question for you, can I PM you?
@MillStone wonder if the infectious diseases dr can finally answer the "are we contagious?" question? I have sent an email to a specialist at Ninewells in Dundee. Don't expect a response though...
@Moodgie... Random one for you RE SOB, since we both have talked about this weird feeling in windpipe/throat... There was blood again when I brushed my teeth this morning, from my tongue. My tongue has marks on the sides, inprints of my teeth. I think this sensation is partly because my tongue is swollen.

Moominmamma33 · 01/06/2020 14:48

www.google.com/amp/s/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/05/30/patients-test-negative-antibodies-may-still-have-immunity-against/amp/ Sorry to hear that @fedupofbed, the search for answers continues but lots of research seems to be pointing to other types of immunity existing, see this article for example. Many, many people on the Slack group also have negative antibody tests, including many of those who had positive antigen tests previously. Take heart Flowers. I wish I had a time machine and could skip to a year's time where there were some proper understanding of this virus!

fedupofbed · 01/06/2020 14:58

Hmm strange eh @LetsBeSensible !

Thank you @Moominmamma33 yes we are the pioneers! I can't access that article unfortunately because of the pay wall but I did just watch a short clip from Twitter on the antibody testing thread which proposed that many people fight the virus with T-cells rather than antibodies, hence the negative results.

Whatnext2018 · 01/06/2020 14:59

Does anybody get full body flushes/hot and tingling, I’m really not sure if I should be concerned about this with the numbness in face and arm etc. Can’t cope with much more of this 😢

MrsBennetsnerves · 01/06/2020 15:16

@ Millstone yes, I believe I had Covid 11 weeks ago, although without a test back then I have no proof and just followed the 111 instructions to isolate as I had a few days of fever followed by cough/chest irritation with quite a few other symptoms. The symptoms in week 8 were chills/sore throat but the first warning of it either returning or being a reinfection the return of the tickly tight chest feeling and fatigue I was notified after testing via text and email telling me to isolate 7 days, household for 14. But whether it was dead virus cells still shedding after all that time, who knows.

Moodgie · 01/06/2020 15:20

@AndsLee Very strange, my tongue seems fine, it feels lower down, but who knows.

MrsBennetsnerves · 01/06/2020 15:31

@Egghead68

Wow *@MrsBennetsnerves*. Did you have some symptoms throughout much of that period or had you been well for weeks and then got ill again? Very interesting. Hope you are feeling OK now. I have heard theories about the test picking up “dead” virus.
@ Egghead68. I felt mostly recovered after around 3-4 weeks in and just felt that I tired more easily. I started doing things like a fairly gentle zoom exercise class with friends. Then I noticed a sharp uptick in the fatigue again and was having slight chills in week 8 which was also one of my earliest symptoms in week 1. I didn't get such a wide range of symptoms as in week 1 and I'm feeling like I'm on the mend again now, although not quite there yet.
Egghead68 · 01/06/2020 15:34

@Whatnext2018 I get full body flushed but mainly in bed. They feel just like my old perimenopause ones which I hadn’t had since I went on HRT. I keep checking that my HRT patch hasn’t fallen off!

Thank you @MrsBennetsnerves. So interesting you tested positive so late on.

Egghead68 · 01/06/2020 15:37

Someone posted this on another thread. The professor says that we may not all develop antibodies to covid but we all develop an immune response in our T-cells:

mobile.twitter.com/profkarolsikora/status/1263810622430511106?s=21

AndsLee · 01/06/2020 15:51

@MrsBennetsnerves
I had this...a rerun of the same symptoms. The symptoms were milder, though I seem to have been left with allergy symptoms. First fell ill 19 March. Tested negative 1 May. 7 May, similar symptoms...
Feeling ok today. Probably jinxed tomorrow now.

fedupofbed · 01/06/2020 15:58

@Whatnext2018 I get the flushes too, though I am a bit peri menopausal so could be that. Like @Egghead68 I get them mainly at night. I started getting them a couple of weeks ago. They don't coincide with my raised temperature.

Lightsabre · 01/06/2020 16:14

@AndsLee, yes that's fine to PM.

@fedupofbed, sorry to hear about your negative antibody test. Did the cardiologist give any indication of what it could have been? It's so hard to believe there's another similar - but- not- Covid virus about that is flooring people in this way.

Wonder how you get a blood test for T cell antibodies?

Whatnext2018 · 01/06/2020 16:24

@fedupofbed @Egghead68 Don’t think is a flush as won’t go, just red hot and higher temp, burning hot.

Egghead68 · 01/06/2020 16:33

@fedupofbed sorry about your relapse Sad. Re your antibody test - I think your doctor is wrong. The twitter video I posted at 15:37 suggests that not everyone with Covid develops IgG antibodies. However he suggests that everyone who had had it leaves a memory trace of the virus in a sort of t-cell called CD4. He says they need to develop a test for the changes in CD4 to truly know who has had it. I don’t know how reliable this is but, as others have said, it seems clear that no detectable IgG antibodies does NOT mean you did not have Covid.

Egghead68 · 01/06/2020 16:35

P.s. as I have probably posted as nauseam I had a negative IgG year too but many many things make me and the doctors treating me think there is no way this wasn’t covid.
