Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

@Lightsabre

Might I PM you please?

MillStone · 31/05/2020 11:13

@Whatnext2018

Internal tremors and a shaking head sensation. Yes I’m experiencing this on and off but It has improved this past week. I noted to someone that it felt like my heart was shivering after every beat.

I think maybe it’s due to tension and muscle fatigue in my upper back!?

I think this because mine displays in certain postures; basically sitting, but more upright sitting which requires the back and neck muscles to support the upper body and head.

If it happens now I rest in a totally supported position (Savasana) which seems to help.

Mytimetogo · 31/05/2020 11:22

Yes to the head sensations and shaking/rattling eys, especially when I'm tired/eaten a big meal.

TiddleTaddleTat · 31/05/2020 11:26

Felt marginally better yesterday and after a good sleep have woken feeling a little more energetic.
I'm going to be very careful not to overdo things so I don't regress again.
I do think in my case hormones are playing a big role. Definitely energy drops substantially prior to and during my period.

Can anyone recommend dietary supplements they have heard are particularly good for recovery? I'm currently taking-
Centrum women multivitamin and mineral
Vitamin D 1000iu
Omega 3,6,9 (non fish)
Kalms valerian before bed and during day if needed.

Wondering about adding something green or focused on immunity?

TiddleTaddleTat · 31/05/2020 11:32

Going to get hold of some evening primrose oil too, thanks to the PP who suggested for hormonal changes

fedupofbed · 31/05/2020 11:32

@AndsLee @Whatnext2018 and @godhelpusall I'm with you on the horrible morning anxiety 💐

Though I'm still in a bit of a tizz about my ongoing and newer symptoms I thought I'd focus this morning on my progress, which sometimes has been too imperceptible to properly notice:

I made it to the garden this morning for a cup of tea (decaf of course 😊).

I no longer sleep with an oximeter by my pillow.

I'm often bored (too ill to be bored before).

I look forward to my daily bath rather than worrying how to get in/out/ how the temperature affects my heart rate.

I've lost my compression socks!

I just found a bag in the wardrobe with some overnight stuff in it - packed and kept stored there for the times when I thought I'd have to rush to hospital. That seems like a distant dream now.

I think I'll still be on this thread for some time but definitely progress (crossing everything that haven't tempted fate by writing this).

Theforest · 31/05/2020 11:50

Hi everyone. Thought I might join you as nearly 8 weeks. Started off with SOB and chest pain/back pain. Too early for a test. Given antibiotics for possible pneumonia but no difference. Haven't called anyone medical since.

Still have chest pain, burning sensation but my main concern right now is muscle twitching /spasms. Legs, feet, arm etc. Get it night and day. And some dizziness from eye movements or moving head too quick. Hate it. Does anyone else get this as don't see it mentioned much?

Thanks

Egghead68 · 31/05/2020 12:52

Day 71/72 really bad chest pain after walking 1000 steps very slowly.

Welcome @theforest. I had dizziness for one day only but others have suffered badly from it.

Egghead68 · 31/05/2020 12:53

Others have also reported muscle spasms.

Egghead68 · 31/05/2020 12:56

@Whatnext2018 sorry just seen you asked me a question yesterday:

So you think the face numbness and arms etc and dizziness is all normal and okay

I don’t know anything about that I am afraid. I would just say not to worry too much about any word-finding, memory or concentration problems for now because they may well settle over the next few months (fingers crossed). Hope you are having a better day today.

ofwarren · 31/05/2020 13:10

@TheForest I get the dizzyness when moving my head too quickly.

Today for me, my limbs ache so much. I've got no energy at all and my brain fog is terrible. Chest is burning.
The piriton seems to be helping still with the tingling nose so I do think I'm having a reaction to something, most possibly pollen.
Under my ribs is sore, I think it's my stomach. I'm trying hard to eat well and have had no sugar or heavy carbs for 4 days now but my stomach feels like it did when I had gastritis. I'm carrying on with the PPIs.

Kitcat122 · 31/05/2020 13:42

@Egghead68. I learnt the hard way with too much walking. My chest and breathing is only just settling today after 10 days of walking my running route. I stopped on Thursday due to chest pain and sob. I think I am going to check in with my doctor tomorrow as only spoken to her once after the Easter weekend when she said could take upto 8 weeks. Now into week 11.

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 13:55

Thanks @AndsLee Yes, have to wait for it to get into the system a bit, I hope work this week goes ok for you 💐

@MillStone & @Mytimetogo
Do you both have the weird tremor/shaky thing when trying to sleep? It’s the only time I get it, as I’m just falling off to sleep.
I definitely think could be connected somehow to upper back and neck pain too.

Thank you @Egghead68 it’s reassuring,

@fedupofbed That sounds like such good progress 💜little by little, but big improvements 👏

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 14:10

I'm sure I am reacting to changes in temperature...Confused

MillStone · 31/05/2020 14:20

@Whatnext2018

Yes sorry meant to say mention those too. Apart from sitting up the only other time I get them is when I’m trying to get back to sleep in the morning.

I sleep okay at bed time and nod off fine but awake at 3 every morning. Every time I try and nod back odd then I’m awoken with the tremor and a drunken dizzy feeling. It’s awful.

I had the same sleep tremors really bad in the 1st and 2nd week when I would wake up an be physically shaking, Gasping and very sweaty.

I’ve considered these recent tremors to be a lesser form of that.

I have an appointment with a specialist disease Dr on Tuesday and these are on my list of Qs to ask

godhelpusall · 31/05/2020 14:39

@MillStone is the infectious disease dr private?

Mytimetogo · 31/05/2020 15:25

@theforest I had weird muscle twitches a few weeks ago. The oddest one was on the side of my head, around my temple. Very irritating and I had never really thought about having muscles there.

MillStone · 31/05/2020 15:37

@godhelpusall

Hey, no it's with the NHS. I was referred by my GP. My local hospital has a special infectious diseases department.

LetsBeSensible · 31/05/2020 15:53

I see the c19 group has a few new articles posted - including one that references smelling smoke as a “classic symptom” of loss of smell! I guess that’s why we all smell burning, I certainly didn’t know this was such an obvious sign.
Went mad and did 5k steps yesterday by going to a shop. Probably paying for it today so staying in which works out around 3k.

Fishflakes · 31/05/2020 16:02

That’s really interesting about the smelling smoke. This BBC article about COVID as a ‘multisystem’ novel illness reminded me of this thread:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/52760992

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 17:34

@fedupofbed

I giggled when you spoke about your overnight bag...the number of night I slept in clothes. Blush

Egghead68 · 31/05/2020 17:42

Great progress @fedupofbed!

Re smelling smoke, I was convinced that first my microwave and then my bedroom fan were on fire yesterday because of the smell of smoke. There was nothing obviously burning.

stayathomegardener · 31/05/2020 17:47

@godhelpusall yes my DD and I both had ME and DD's limb pains were diagnosed as lactic acid by Dr Sarah Myhill.

stayathomegardener · 31/05/2020 17:56

@fedupofbed I'm definitely improving at almost day 80.

Still have fatigue and waves of sweat at times, slightly broken sleep, occasionally get the acid reflux and a hint of chest tightness when tired.

If I was 20/100 on the cfs scale I'm now 50/100
On a positive note I have no more flu like pains, throat issues, headaches, chest pains or weird neurological stuff any more.

That said I'm still expecting dips and very much controlling how much I do as dull as that is and supporting by body with supplements.

stayathomegardener · 31/05/2020 18:01

This has been an absolute game changer for me.

I started it on the basis that 70% of immune cells are in the gut and I also had unrelenting new to me acid indigestion.
