Saw the previous thread is almost full. Hope I've not duplicated a new thread! And I might not be the best person to be custodian of this one, so feel free someone else to start a replacement and I'll get this deleted. Otherwise -

Here we all are, at least 56 days plus 😕

@ofwarren my symptoms get much worse after eating a meal, especially evening meal. I put it down to the energy used with my body digesting food, plus I'm extra tired by that time of day.

@Whatnext2018 I think this is just another inflammatory symptom. Several of us here still have a daily low grade fever and it's one of the things I'm less concerned about - though I'm looking forward to the day it returns to normal!

Whatnext2018 · 30/05/2020 19:08

@fedupofbed Yes, haven’t had it for a long time, but used to have most days with the diarreah, seems to have returned! Was also something that didn’t bother me really before, but with all this new crap, it’s just a bit like 😫

fedupofbed · 30/05/2020 19:19

@Whatnext2018 it's so demoralising isn't it?

stayathomegardener · 30/05/2020 19:38

@godhelpusall lactic acid in the limbs is classic post viral/ME

godhelpusall · 30/05/2020 19:48

@stayathomegardener is it? Post viral fatigue type stuff

fedupofbed · 30/05/2020 19:49

@stayathomegardener how are you now?

user34254356 · 30/05/2020 20:06

@whatnext2018 i also had a reappearance of low grade fever after a three week hiatus. A few other people have had similar spikes. Don't worry unless of course it goes above 38.5 and not settling with paracetamol. Hope you feel better and have a good night.

Whatnext2018 · 30/05/2020 20:25

@user34254356 Thank you so much 💐

Moominmamma33 · 30/05/2020 22:39

@Whatnext2018 I had a fever every day until about a week ago, this week it's been absent except today (38c this afternoon). It's the only symptom I had today actually! Agree it's demoralising!

ofwarren · 30/05/2020 22:59

I've had a horrible itchy nose and throat all day. I tried piriton twice and both times it went away. I'm guessing I have hayfever then? Never had that in my life!
I've got a horrible burn across my chest tonight. My lungs don't feel sore but my chest wall does.

sleepwhenidie · 30/05/2020 23:33

@Whatnext2018 I haven’t checked it for a week but DD had a consistently raised temperature for two months, always between 37 and 38.2 (weirdly often different in each earConfused). I now need to check it again as her best friend is planning a birthday picnic for a few friends in two weeks, friend’s mum said she can come if no fever because she is understandably worried about contagiousness. Surely not after this long but I get it Sad.

godhelpusall · 31/05/2020 08:19

I'm so sick of the morning anxiety. Every morning I wake to it ☹️

MillStone · 31/05/2020 08:40

Morning all.

Hope you’re well,

9 week anniversary today.

I’ve been searching for advice on how best to manage post viral fatigue / chronic fatigue in the early stages.

As the awareness of post Covid problems increases it seems more guides and info is becoming available.

This PDF is similar to the ME foundation’s release but it is nicely presented. There’s one for people who were hospitalised and another for home recoverers. Sorry if it’s been posted before.

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 08:43

Hello everyone. Hope you all have a good day today.

Just wondering on the fever front... Isn't a fever anything over 37.8? I thought anything around 37 ish is ok? Just wondering. My temp is usually around 36.5 to 36.9 for the majority of the time. Mid morning or mid afternoon I see it increase sometimes to about 37.3, but I thought this is normal?

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 09:25

@AndsLee I think that is a normal temp? Just for me personally 37 is high, if that makes sense? I’m on average even below 36 mainly, so I can tell when I’ve got a low grade fever-for my body.

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 09:27

@godhelpusall Same, was woken by palpitations this morning, which wasn’t nice, I still wanted to sleep but it’s like I was full of adrenaline, and that’s after taking a Valerian tablet last night. Taken one again not long ago with my breakfast, hate that its come to this. Last night the Valerian didn’t stop the symptoms like numb mouth etc..which the doc said was caused by stress, it just made me feel less panicked about it and sleepy. So I’m not sure what that means.

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 09:30

Last night before sleeping my sinuses and top of face was so painful, but he says isn’t sinuses, scarier to think something else causing pain in the face like that 🤷‍♀️Sneezing lots too so doesn’t make sense.

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 09:34

@whatnext2018 - yep makes sense. Thanks for the reply! :)

So what is the general consensus on us long termers being contagious? I'm still in such turmoil over this...

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 09:38

Latest symptom - my hands have been burning for days, though not this morning. I note the temperature has dropped...

Jacked up on adrenaline too this morning @godhelpusall and @Whatnext2018. Just constantly feel..."on"...?

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 10:14

@AndsLee that’s exactly it, I’m sat here on a calm Sunday watching my dd play and birds are singing outside and I’m a ball of..something..that’s after taking a Valerian,
Does anyone else have the sort of internal head shaking/tremors when falling asleep, it’s all so worrying.

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 10:24

@whatnext2018

I wish there was definitive science, but I guess our bodies have been through one hell of a fight, and are still on red alert. Every new little sensation I guess it will overeact to. I wish I knew how to calm it down...

I am willing to accept that anxiety plays a part in this, for sure. I know that your body can behave like it's anxious even if you don't feel like you are. But there is without a doubt a physical element. Have you been taking the meds long? X

Whatnext2018 · 31/05/2020 10:29

@AndsLee Just since yesterday 🙈it’s only a herbal supplement, both doctors prescribed benzo calming type tablets but I’m reluctant to take as I’m still breastfeeding and it would mean going through the trial of stopping it all, which wouldn’t be easy at this time.

Lightsabre · 31/05/2020 10:40

@AndsLee, you're very unlikely to be contagious now. Can you do another CV swab to set your mind at rest?

@MillStone, thanks for the Covid recovery leaflet and meditation recommendations.

Day 62 here. Awful pain this morning in my upper back so back on the ibuprofen gel and paracetamol today. Throat and chest bothering me too in a 'what's going on' way. No temperature though and blood pressure ok. Feel groggy and weaker today - hopefully the pain killers will kick in soon and help.

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 10:44

@whatnext2018
Maybe give it some time to see if the feeling subsides. I have been wondering how much of these feelings will change once lockdown is eased completely.

I am back at work this week, albeit at my pace. I am working from home, I don't think I could manage my actual full time work. I have had a negative swab...but I still have these symptoms. My GP is adamant I won't be contageous. I just wish I knew. It would also mean my partner could come home...

AndsLee · 31/05/2020 10:54

*how many of these feelings... oops!
