Sorry if this thread has been down before but just wondering what people think the changes will be on Sunday?

OP posts:
ivykaty44 · 08/05/2020 22:33

Boris is having an affair someone
The baby is going to lead the country
We’re all staying home for another 3 weeks as they don’t want more people Getting sick

Bertie30 · 08/05/2020 22:37

Looks like they will be announcing a 14 day quarantine for anyone coming into the UK and I assume that will include holidaymakers if the rules are relaxed for them.

Trees2905 · 08/05/2020 22:39

What, sex outdoors? 🤩🤪😜🤓

GreytExpectations · 08/05/2020 22:40

This thread has been done a million timed. Instead of apologising for making another one why not just discuss on one of the others?

Ilets · 08/05/2020 22:41

No blowjobs though. Covid has been found in semen up to a week or so later. Stay Safe. Spit don't Swallow.

Lifejacket · 08/05/2020 22:42

I noticed that tui stores are showing as opening this week when I searched their Facebook page. Maybe some non essential shops will open?

Topseyt · 08/05/2020 22:43

My money is on it being broadly similar to Wales.

Any changes will be quite small, just enough to give the impression of a vague plan being in place, even though I rather doubt Boris has a detailed plan.

The rest will be extended for another three weeks.

GinghamStyle · 08/05/2020 22:50

More people to return to work with social distancing.

Lockdown review in another 3 weeks.

Hopefully some information regarding childcare for non-furloughed workers.

pilates · 08/05/2020 22:52

Same as Wales

hopeishere · 08/05/2020 22:55

I assume minor tweaks in the immediate future eg more exercise time and outdoor sex (!) but also a proper plan like Ireland now has.

CalmYoBadSelf · 08/05/2020 22:59

I think the media have been shameful. They pushed for lockdown, the minute we were locked down they started hassling for what is the plan, then this week they've been just plain making it up and misleading people that it is going to be lifted

Cherrypi · 08/05/2020 22:59

Why do they want libraries to open?

PianoTuner567 · 08/05/2020 23:02

cherry I thought that! Libraries seems a bit random?!

Itisasecret · 08/05/2020 23:05

Libraries will be because schools are closed.

Spam88 · 08/05/2020 23:05

Libraries aren't nearly as random as garden centres. Thanks for that, Drakeford, that's going to improve life immeasurably Hmm

MrsMop1964 · 08/05/2020 23:12

I thought I read on here somewhere that the thing with libraries is so people can use the wifi-someone mentioned people sitting outside a library so they could use it. Unless I dreamed it of course!

RichardMarxisinnocent · 08/05/2020 23:14

People are going to need new clothes and shoes with the summer coming up

Are they? Unless people are children who have grown, or adults who have lost or put on weight, don't most people already have clothes and shoes suitable for warm weather and which fit them?

SquashedFlyBiscuit · 08/05/2020 23:49

My children rarely fit shoes or clothes from the previous year.

I've ordered shorts but we haven't really needed shoes.

If they go back to school for a few weeks they dont have summer uniform or school shoes that fit.

B1rdbra1n · 08/05/2020 23:59

Ewww I'm not going out if everyone's going to be shagging in public 😱

feelingverylazytoday · 09/05/2020 00:00

Richard well my clothes are starting to wear out. We don't all have extensive wardrobes. My shoes have holes in them, so I'd like to be able to buy a new pair, if that's alright with you. Of course it's not essential (like bread and milk I guess) and I could always make myself a new pair out of cardboard or something.
And yes, people do gain or lose weight and have to buy new clothes. That was me a few years ago, I had to buy myself a whole new set of clothes. Fancy that, eh?

Greenmarmalade · 09/05/2020 00:04

Garden centres will be open for outdoor sex.

(Bagsy the swinging chair thingy).

Campervan69 · 09/05/2020 00:10

Spitting or swallowing is immaterial once the virus is in your mouth FFS. Outdoors sex in garden centres is one of the main superspreaders people. Control yourselves for the love of God!

NaiceViper · 09/05/2020 07:38

"Outdoors sex in garden centres is one of the main superspreaders* people"

Trying to imagine the line of people for outdoors sex (especially after 1 May!)

*a superspreader is a person. One who infects more people than they should , given the Rnumber of the disease. So I suppose each horny handed son of toil needs to attract only a couple of Lady Chatterleys (maybe three to be on the safe side) to be 'super'

Peggysgettingcrazy · 09/05/2020 07:43

The focus will be a out going back to work.

Employers will be told to do what they can to get people back to work whilst having social distancing in place.

They will continue the 'you must work from home where you can'.

Simple fact is too many companies are using furlough where they could be operating.

It may mean alot of changes, risk assessments. It takes a while. Our company did it and have 80% back. For over 2 weeks and no cases amongst our staff. And a large amount of staff are out and about.

We are bringing in about 90% of the revenue we should have been.

I think life outside work will have tweaks. Not huge changes. And it will be tweaks for a while. No huge changes all at once.

chantico · 09/05/2020 07:44

I could do with shoe shops (or sports shops) being open, to replace DS's trainers, which are falling apart. I think childrens clothes/shoes retailers should be in the 'open earlier rather than later list' and once open, they should be sell their entire normal range.

Bit like larger pharmacies, like Superdrug and Boots could make sure all aisles are opened.

Just enough to get people into the shops slightly more (so everyone can be given a soap gift box for late-season lockdown birthdays?)
