Anyone had a refund from Ryanair

LetMeOutOfHere · 19/04/2020 14:50

Flight was cancelled and requested a refund which they have said they offer, still not received it. Anyone received their refund from Ryanair?

Nope

LJL1 · 19/04/2020 15:03

Same here. Still waiting for our refund. Our flight was 4th April to Portugal..

Roselilly36 · 19/04/2020 15:20

Nope we are still waiting too, our trip was in March.

midnightstar66 · 19/04/2020 15:21

No I just keep getting emails saying they are busy and to be patient

LetMeOutOfHere · 19/04/2020 15:46

Oh no so some of you have been waiting a lot longer than us. We were only due to go 26th April but been told it has been cancelled and we would be refunded.

Yep! I have: was due to fly on 3 April.
My sister who was due to go to Rome on 14 March hasn't though Hmm

midnightstar66 · 19/04/2020 15:49

Our flight was on the 6th April, you'll be waiting a while 😬

wildcherries · 19/04/2020 15:53

Nope. I was supposed to be travelling 11 March. Two emails of 'we're backed up' type excuses.

LetMeOutOfHere · 19/04/2020 16:31

@bestbefore that's good for you; did you book direct with Ryanair? We booked through an agent so apparently Ryanair refund them and then they refund us

I’ve just posted on another thread about this. I requested one when my Easter flights were cancelled. 2 emails to say very busy but refund is being dealt with then Friday I received a voucher. The email stated vouchers will be sent and cash refunds when everything returns to normal. I phoned them and they put me in another queue for a refund. They’re only sending vouchers. Look at ryanair refund on Twitter, they’re doing the same to everyone.

LetMeOutOfHere · 19/04/2020 16:59

@Onmyown1 just had a look at Twitter and it doesn't look like just vouchers. I really could do with cash refund as been furloughed could do with the extra money. I only applied last week and it says could take up to 20 days so guess I'll have to wait until then before contacting them again.

I was going to start a thread about this today. We were due to fly on 14th April, returning today. My refund request was apparently accepted on 28th March but not recieved yet. I messaged them on Facebook today and got quite a quick reply to say they are really busy and they can't tell me how long it will take.

bestbefore · 19/04/2020 18:29

@LetMeOutOfHere yep we booked direct with them, don't know if it matters we were flying to Italy as I think that was shut down before other places. Also booked a room with them and that was refunded promptly too. You only ever hear about the bad news/ complaints online!

flowerstar19 · 19/04/2020 18:32

No refund here - been waiting ages for a flight on 3rd April. Same with Jet2, promised within 3-5 working days and it has been about 15 and still not received!

CremeEggThief · 19/04/2020 18:35

You only applied last week and you think you'll get a refund this fast? Good luck with that! Grin My flights for the 11th and 17th April were cancelled about a month before the return flight, and I'll be amazed if I receive my refund by the end of May. This is Ryanair after all!

LetMeOutOfHere · 19/04/2020 18:42

@Onmyown1 sorry I meant it does look like only vouchers on twitter.

Looks like I've got a bit of a wait them. I was actually surprised that they sent a message saying I would get a refund but we will see. On the beach, who we booked with, have said they will refund flights when they receive it from Ryanair but the accommodation will be vouchers only, which I don't mind as it wasn't a lot.

You're being a bit premature. DS is still waiting
18th March.

CodenameVillanelle · 19/04/2020 19:12

The email I received said it would take at least 28 days to refund so best be patient. I booked with a different airline and they gave me a 3 month timescale!

ShleeAnKree · 19/04/2020 19:14

not yet!

Bunnybigears · 19/04/2020 19:15

I'm still waiting my return flight was 4th April. I think they are offering vouchers in the hope people will accept and therefore be less money for them to pay out when they process the refunds.

midnightstar66 · 19/04/2020 19:47

If it's via a 3rd party it will probably be even longer OP. My flights are the least of my worries though I'm still waiting on accom and park tickets which I'm out of the promised time for the refund for. Ferry refunded me 2 weeks ago and that was the return journey

NotTheVeryNice · 19/04/2020 20:35

My flight was for 24 March. Requested refund, received 2 emails from Ryanair, but nothing so far. I am not too bothered, TBH, as my ticket was only £14 Grin

dementedma · 19/04/2020 20:38

Nope. And not from the train line either which is annoying me as it’s £200 I can’t afford to lose

TrophyCat · 19/04/2020 20:43

Yes, was due to fly Ryanair to northern Italy on 6 April - inbound and outbound flights were cancelled. They sent me an email with a link to request a refund which appeared in my bank 2 days later

CodenameVillanelle · 19/04/2020 21:38

I got my Trainline refund a couple of weeks after applying
