I don't believe that COVID only arrived in the Uk in February

I remember in February (I think) when the apparent first case of corona came to the UK, and there was much talk of a "superspreader".

However, I am convinced that if the virus has been evident in China since November, then it would have arrived here much sooner.

Personally, I was horrendously ill in late January. Everyone told me that I had a bad cold, but it was honestly the worst cold I have ever had in my entire life. I kept having hot and cold flushes and I had an awful cough. I couldn't get out of bed for a week. I'm not saying that I had corona, but I had something awful.

I do wonder. In late Jan our whole household had a virus that knocked us all on our backs. My eldest daughter (who ironically is on the vulnerable list for COVID) never catches anything. We have had so many bugs in our house due to nursery age DD2, norovirus swept through her school she was the last man standing- she has the immune system of a bull. So I remember commenting to husband how unusual it was that she was so unwell. She was wiped out for a good three weeks

I was coughing so uncontrollably I didnt sleep for four nights and it was so forceful I actually vomited on myself on one occasion.

At the same time my husband who is a funeral director commented on how he had a few cases of people passing with pneumonia which seemed to have progressed very quickly who were in 50s/60s rather than very elderly. But of course nobody was really looking into it at the time.

I would love to think we have all had it but dont plan on changing how Im acting. Never going to know without tests sadly

How are people expecting to be tested to see if they had it? Have the got some antibody tests now that they think are working? Or are these health care workers that are expecting to have them being used as test subjects to see how accurate they are? Presumably they have to use people who were actually tested the first time and they have confirmation that they did have it, before they can evaluate any antibody tests.

I don't know if it was here earlier but it was thought to have been circulating in Wuhan as early as October. Given the secrecy of the PRC, could easily be September or earlier.

With direct flights from China and close commercial links to China in Manchester, Bristol and London (e.g. a confirmed Chinese case having extensive contacts in Bristol city centre for business purposes) is it more likely our case zero was from China or Italy?

Theorising that it may have been here earlier than Feb isn't a conspiracy theory. It's a theory.

Well firewoman if you sound like a conspiracy theorist so do I!

I posted exact same thing and exact reason re socialising etc!
