Number of shops visited in last couple of weeks?

Out of a matter of interest, how many shops has everyone visited in last couple of weeks. Where they successful trips?

19 March - Tescos - fresh food shop and packets/tins for Mum in case we isolate. She had to take what was going, but gratefully received

26 March - Tescos - fresh food shop, no potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, lemon, limited green veg. Had to share 3 bananas and 3 carrots with Mum
26 March - greengrocers on way back, got Mum's lemon, but no other items

29 March - Lidl - desperate for peppers and tomatoes as we all eat them daily, green veg for Mum. Very successful trip as I got all missing veg and more and some eggs

Hopefully I can leave it until end of week now.

Zero we have been in quarantine as a household

viccat · 30/03/2020 14:52

Zero. Have had two Ocado deliveries that were booked ages ago before all this really started, though.

OccasionalNachos · 30/03/2020 14:52

Just Sainsburys once a week since about 9 March.

I miss browsing M&S for treats. And H&M for clothes.

TheQueef · 30/03/2020 14:53

Zero here too.
Self isolation and a good pantry has kept me in though I do have DC who works in Tesco though so we've just made do with whatever he forrages from the bin pile Grin

Shitsgettingcrazy · 30/03/2020 14:54

I went to the supermarket 2 weeks ago. Going when I finish work (from home) today.

Got what I needed then.

I have been to our local shop 3 times since for bread and milk. They have a good system. I live on a small estate and we call accounts. Call with what you want. Knock in the glass door. Step far back and they bring it out.

Then pay the account every week. I do mine by bank transfer. No need to have contact with anyone and its 8 house down. So not far to go

JellyFishSquish · 30/03/2020 14:54

Zero, was last out March 11, when I had to attend a meeting and went to the pub after. Since then stayed home apart from walks.

Shitsgettingcrazy · 30/03/2020 14:55

And yes. Local shop have had bread and milk everytime I have gone

AMomHasNoName · 30/03/2020 14:55

I've been to 3. My local one stop. For handwash and loo roll. There was no handwash though.

Asda on friday- for a full weeks shop managed to get everything except handwash.

Today I had to nip out to morrisons for bread and wanted handwash but still none.

Hoping we can stay in now as we have Asda delivery booked for the end of this week and the following week.

FTMF30 · 30/03/2020 14:57

Went to to co-op and Asda on 18th March, went to Asda again on 24th March and haven't gone out again since. Will probably need to go on 1st/2nd April.

HasaDigaEebowai · 30/03/2020 14:58

Zero. We are in lockdown (and we were already in self isolation at that point) and we've not needed to go out yet.

FTMF30 · 30/03/2020 14:59

@Amomhasnoname I haven't been able to get handwash for weeks. I've had to settle for buying shower gels and decanting them into empty handwash containers.

ChasingRainbows19 · 30/03/2020 15:01

Two once to local coop for bread and milk then Aldi for a shop yesterday I'm hoping will last about ten days

Didntwanttochangemyname · 30/03/2020 15:01

Zero. Tesco delivery today, then a C&C booked for half way through next week. I don't think I'll set foot in an actual shop for another fortnight at least.

My nearest shop is 17 miles away, so I'm pretty good at keeping the cupboards stocked.

nowmorethanever · 30/03/2020 15:02

Supermarket two weeks ago today.

Have had shopping delivered since then, but haven’t entered a shop.

Ohffs66 · 30/03/2020 15:03

In the last 2 weeks, just one trip to Tesco. DH also went once. About 3 weeks ago a trip to Sainsburys (now limited to Tesco or Lidl only as Sainsbury's is way over the other side of town and I can't imagine me fancying a loaf of their rosemary and sea salt focaccia would be a good enough reason to class it as an essential journey!).

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 30/03/2020 15:03

Since 20/03

Me: 1 shop, 4 trips. For milk, bread & fruit. We’re a family of 7 so get through a lot of the above & can’t put the full amount we need on the weekly shop due to limits, especially as the children & Dh are here. I’ve been using it as my exercise (we have a treadmill so I use that on the days I’m not going) & have gone after 7pm when almost no one is about.

I am contemplating buying a cow Grin

Dh 1 shop, 1 trip. Last weeks weekly click n collect (usually get delivery but c’n’c is easier atm)

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 30/03/2020 15:05

Zero - did one click & collect

Megan2018 · 30/03/2020 15:05

We haven’t been anywhere in last 2 weeks, we have been fortunate to have had existing delivery slots booked. Just as well as we are in isolation for another 8 days yet!

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 15:06

We had already locked ourselves down before we were told to do so, as an early precaution. We did a food shopping trip on 11/3, and another trip out last week for essentials at one shop and to pick up prescriptions for my daughter through a pharmacy hatch and deliver them to her. That’s it.

We went for our first walk just yesterday (were waiting to be sure the message to distance had got properly through to people).

We’re going to start having a walk every day or two now, fairly early in the morning to avoid too many run-ins with others.

Have ordered a few essential things from amazon that we weren’t able to get elsewhere, and the last few parcels that were ordered before lockdown have started to arrive. We’re wiping with alcohol and leaving in the hallway for 24hrs+ just as an extra precaution.

HairyFloppins · 30/03/2020 15:07

I went to Asda about ten days ago. I was very lucky to get a Sainsbury shop for today. I'm fat and disabled so trying to stay in as much as possible. Teen DD had to rush for the corner shop for loo roll though, that little shop is a godsend at the moment.

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 15:07

We have also secured one shopping delivery for ourselves and my daughters have secured one for them, so hopefully we won’t need to enter a shop for a good while yet.

Glitters100 · 30/03/2020 15:07

None.

We had a Tesco delivery on 22nd March and have lived on that and what was left in the freezer. This will hopefully last till my next delivery in a few days time, and then we will live on that for as long as possible.

Last week I’ve heard of 5 people I know (or related to people I know) who have died of vivid- and 2 today that has tested positive for it, so I’m well aware that the best thing to do is isolate.

Tartyflette · 30/03/2020 15:10

Two - one to local supermarket, (Not one of the big chains) one to the post office before we went into full lockdown.

steff13 · 30/03/2020 15:11

Four - my regular grocery (twice), Costco (once), Walmart (once), and Tractor Supply (once).

I've tried to limit my visits, but it's been difficult when the stores are sold out of basics, and you have to go back at a later time.

FYI - I've been buying bar soap to wash our hands. I've never bought bar soap before, but when I went to the store the liquid hand soap was sold out, but there was plenty of bar soap.

Tartyflette · 30/03/2020 15:11

Managed to get everything i needed except evaporated milk which seems to be in short supply. I just like it in coffee!
