Number of shops visited in last couple of weeks?

Out of a matter of interest, how many shops has everyone visited in last couple of weeks. Where they successful trips?

19 March - Tescos - fresh food shop and packets/tins for Mum in case we isolate. She had to take what was going, but gratefully received

26 March - Tescos - fresh food shop, no potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, lemon, limited green veg. Had to share 3 bananas and 3 carrots with Mum
26 March - greengrocers on way back, got Mum's lemon, but no other items

29 March - Lidl - desperate for peppers and tomatoes as we all eat them daily, green veg for Mum. Very successful trip as I got all missing veg and more and some eggs

Hopefully I can leave it until end of week now.

Zero.

Quite a few visits. We don't have a car so can't carry much and can't get any online deliveries so no choice really.

jmh740 · 30/03/2020 16:03

In the last week, I've been to boots to pick up scripts 3 times, I went to work last monday and I went to lidl to stock up last wed, oh is highly vulnerable and I'm vulnerable I've been trying to get an online shopping slot but it's impossible, I will need more shopping before the end of the week.

BlueJava · 30/03/2020 16:05

Been to Tescos for milk twice.

TheDogsMother · 30/03/2020 16:06

One trip to Tesco a week ago, one trip to vets on Friday. I have a previously booked delivery this evening and I'm hoping with that and what is in the freezer we should be good for another 14 days

EvilPea · 30/03/2020 16:11

God the beginning of March,
Ive been to every food shop within a 10 mile radius trying to get the weeks shop, not stock up. Just try and feed us.

1 since the kids have been off.

KiddingMyself · 30/03/2020 16:23

Ocado deliveries, collecting school meals from school, farm for eggs, village mini supermarket, and two independent village shops.

It's impossible for me to get everything we need in one go because of family size.

riotlady · 30/03/2020 16:47

2, once to Sainsbury’s and once to Aldi

Porcupineinwaiting · 30/03/2020 16:50

Zero. I'm sick so we are all self isolating. Neighbours have been adding bits and pieces to their shopping for us.

Frigginella · 30/03/2020 16:52

2 unfortunately as we couldn’t get any veg and about the 1/3 of our list at Asda. We’ve ordered a delivery from a bakery and going to Tesco tomorrow. We’re aiming for once a week though

Carrie7469 · 30/03/2020 16:55

Went to the pharmacy on Friday to collect mine and DPs medication. Went to Sainsbury’s on Saturday to get a click and collect order. Not been to any other shops in the last two weeks

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/03/2020 16:58

I was working as normal the week before last, so amongst other places was in Boots, John Lewis, Lidl, and ASDA.

Since last Monday I have been to the corner shop, and to the small Tesco Express. DP went to Lidl this afternoon because the ASDA order we have coming tonight has about 50% of it missing. He got everything we needed there, so between the two we're well stocked now.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 30/03/2020 17:02

In the past 2 weeks I've been to Asda twice, Aldi once and a small Tesco Express near my house for things like milk/bread.

All successful trips, got everything I needed each time. I'd like to go less often but I don't own a car so I can only carry a certain amount. I won't go again until Thursday.

StrawberryTarts · 30/03/2020 17:06

Three.

I went to Sainsbury’s last weekend and our corner shop midweek, and DH went to Aldi on Saturday just gone.

Would prefer to only go once a week, and it looks like local shops are now better stocked and that this will be possible this week (after the initial panic buying craziness).

I’d actually prefer to stay in and get online deliveries, but have used a Morrison’s slot to
deliver to an extremely vulnerable friend and my Ocado priority slot for my elderly mum.

QuestionMarkNow · 30/03/2020 17:08

I love the competitiveness about how often one has been doing the shopping.

The reality for me has been quite a few because.... despite doing a once a week shopping the shelves were empty and i couldnt find the things i needed.

Sunnyhopefulness · 30/03/2020 17:08

Sainsburies on the 25th - husband has been to the corner shop twice since for things missing in Sainsburies - I’ll go again on Wednesday

LadyLovelyLockz · 30/03/2020 17:08

Once, to the local Co-op because we happened to walk past on our dog walk. They had milk, bread, butter, eggs, flour. I bought some fresh veg and an Easter egg for 6yo.

I've also had a Tesco delivery on Friday that I booked about 3 weeks ago which came with everything, albeit a couple of subs.

Floobydoodoo · 30/03/2020 17:09

I haven’t been to any and DH has just been to 1 - Tesco for a weekly shop last Monday. Will need to go again later this week.

Whattodo121 · 30/03/2020 17:15

Since schools shut on the 20th i’ve been to our local little Tesco twice and the petrol station once. Have an Ocado delivery for Saturday (hopefully!) and an Asda c and c for the following Tuesday so we shouldn’t have to venture out again until after easter. DH is working every day this week in London and having to drive so will need to get petrol on Wednesday so will go to the M and S garage And get bread and milk if necessary.

DesLynamsMoustache · 30/03/2020 17:19

One. Local shop for some midweek bread. Otherwise all online deliveries.

Reginabambina · 30/03/2020 17:23

I’ve been to Tesco, M&S, Wilco (looking for loo roll 🙄), boots (looking for medicine which they didn’t have), Superdrug (where I found the medicine).

ChanklyBore · 30/03/2020 17:25

Haven’t had anything fresh in or been to a shop since 13th March.

I think we have enough in to manage for another week or so without before we really could do with milk, eggs, and fresh vegetables.

I have lots of store cupboard essentials in though so there is no great emergency. If we had to stay in another month we’d be OK.

emmathedilemma · 30/03/2020 17:29

I went last Tuesday and prior to that it was the Friday over a week before. I’ve got a click & Collect booked on Saturday and will be eating into the freezer supplies by the end of this week.

Elllicam · 30/03/2020 17:33

Zero, we now have milk, eggs, fruit and veg box deliveries. I’ve been sick for the last two weeks though.
