I do need compost, but no local stores that sell it are open and I haven't found anywhere that will deliver it unless I spend €150. But @JustStayAtHome I don't understand why it isn't essential? Loads of people grow their own veg, taking pressure off food suppliers at a busy time - surely a Good Thing? (Fresh veg is the thing that is most hit and miss at my local supermarket. Presumably their summer sales predictions are based on last year, when some people were actually growing their own - so how have the supermarkets made contingency plans to supply fruit and veg this summer to the extra people who would have grown their own, but can't, because bloody compost and seeds aren't essential?). Also if people are out in their gardens digging in compost and planting stuff, they are not out and about spreading the virus on Brighton Beach and in the Lake District - surely another Good Thing?
Also I could stop moisturising and let my rosacea get out of control, then I'd need a dermatologist appointment - not a great use of medical services when I can treat it myself with the right product surely? In fact I doubt I'd get one so I'll just add it to the long list of other chronic conditions that are making me miserable because I can't get any treatment for the foreseeable, no problem!
I expect my cats won't die of starvation if I don't buy them any food as we are rural and there are plenty of mice to catch, so don't worry, I'll cancel the cat food as well. Hope the curtain twitchers aren't waiting to report me for animal cruelty.
I thought this was a lighthearted thread, goodness knows there aren't many of them around.
